Weddingbee® is a wedding blog updated daily by 20+ real brides around the world. We feature blogs, message boards, classified ads, and image galleries, with a core focus on real brides’ wedding planning journeys from engagement to “I Do” and beyond. The site is updated around 20 times a day and is read obsessively by brides, grooms, bridesmaids, women, wedding vendors and industry insiders alike.
As an avid blogger, publisher Bee Kim originally started Weddingbee® as a personal blog while planning her own wedding. The site’s popularity prompted her to launch Weddingbee® as a stand-alone site in February of 2006.
Currently, 4.5 million brides and wedding enthusiasts visit Weddingbee® every month, with over 21 million monthly pageviews (Google Analytics, unique visitors and pageviews, Jan 2013). If you have any questions about the site, please contact Mrs. Penguin at cathy (at) weddingbee (dot) com.
Meet our editors:
Mrs. Penguin/Cathleya Schroeckenstein
Mrs. Penguin first became involved with Weddingbee® as she planned her own 2008 wedding. Shortly after she decided to leave her job as a creative writer/editor for TV and video and came on full time as Weddingbee’s editor in chief. She takes care of the day to day of Weddingbee from her home in Berkeley, CA with her dog Billie Jean by her side. When she’s not editing the blog, she’s out on a hike in the Berkeley hills with her husband or on the hunt for good sushi in the East Bay (it’s hard to find!). Find her on Twitter at @CathleyaS.
Mrs. Mouse/Holley Simons
Mrs. Mouse was introduced to Weddingbee while she was in law school and was instantly hooked. She began blogging about her Austin wedding for the site in June of 2009, and a year later, happily married, she came on board as an editor to help out Mrs. Penguin. She’s mom to a one-year-old, and is a Craigslist/eBay/Amazon/Sephora addict. You can find her editing blog posts, snuggling with her husband, getting lost in books, obsessively playing Candy Crush, and plotting her next home decor project. All while listening to Beyonce, obviously. Find her on Twitter at @dead__flowers.
Meet our blogger icons artist:
Mrs. Bunting was drawn to the creative atmosphere of Weddingbee when planning her June 2011 wedding and quickly became enamored with the community as a bride and artist. She has always pursued art as a career, but it wasn’t until designing her own wedding paper elements that she discovered a passion for the wedding industry. She now spends her days (and nights) running Wildship Studio, her own freelance illustration business by creating original artwork as well as custom illustrated wedding invitations, stationery, other paper goods, and of course, illustrating new icons for future Weddingbee bloggers! When she’s not behind an ink pen or digital paintbrush, Mrs. Bunting can be found snuggling one of her two cats or exploring the great outdoors.
