We’re about a fourth done with assembling our invitations. I love how they came out, but I came across something wonderful that I might want to use for the rest of them!
PAPER CLIPS!
Okay, don’t panic! They’re not what you think! Well, let me explain why I am contemplating using paper clips in the first place. Our invites have five pieces- 1) the main invite 2) the second reception invite 3) directions 4) RSVP envelope and 5) RSVP card. However, we didn’t do pocketfolds so I can only imagine how messy they’ll be when our guests open them! So we decided to tie a ribbon around the bunch with a cute lace bow. The ribbon helps keep the five pieces together, but does not keep them completely aligned. SO, I searched around and came upon these…

First of all, thank you all SO SO much for helping us pick our monogram!! We haven’t made a final decision but we’re leaning towards #5 and #1!
So about this wedding website situation…
I can’t say I was a complete newbie. I did take a web-designing course in college—but it was my senior year, I did the assignments an hour or two before class, and it was one of those “easy” classes. So when it came time to make our website I didn’t have enough confidence in my web skills (or lack thereof) to design one from scratch, so I started the hunt for free and easy, but stylish wedding website providers. I started creating monogram designs on Photoshop using Ms. Radish’s wonderful post as well as free brush tools I found online. However, I had such a good time with them that I ended up with 30+ designs. I want to use the monogram on our invitation envelope flaps, programs, menus, napkins (if we have any), photo booth pictures, and pretty much anything else that can be adorned with a monogram.
But, I need your help!! The 30+ designs have been narrowed down with the help of my bridesmaids, my FSIL and Mr. Blush.

When I visited IL a few months ago, my soon-to-be MIL and I went to Gigi’s Closette and we found the PERFECT dress for her!
The dress label said “Gigi’s Closette”. We assumed it was from “Gigi’s Closette” since the other dresses had labels like “Yolanda” or “Giovanni”. The dress was a dream and we knew this was the one. We were told the dress would be available on December 8th. In a bit of a “we gotta act fast” mindset, we ordered the dress, paid the half deposit and left.
We got a phone call THREE days later. They said, “We have the dress. Please come pick it up.” I mean, I was excited to see the dress, but they told us it would be here in December! Something was a little sketchy…
Since I’m in NYC and my FMIL is in IL, she went to the store to pick up the dress. But much to her surprise, the dress label said “Montage by Moncheri”. She questioned the sales attendant, but due to her limited English, she left the store frustrated and a bit hurt. Read more…

I’m not sure where I first saw them, but I knew these letters were something I definitely wanted to DIY. So when I was home a few months ago, I ventured to a discount home and garden store where I bought lots of discounted fake flowers, and to Jo-Ann’s where I purchased our letters: J & R.
I searched high and low for peach colored flowers—but there weren’t any I liked! Then… lightbulb! Buy white and pink flowers and MIX THEM! Overall the effect was better than the peach I was looking for.

We had an engagement party. Korean tradition highlights engagement parties—where families can meet and promise the union of their children. Both Mr. Blush and I are very family-oriented so we wanted to honor this tradition and provide this moment for our parents.
It was a small gathering of family and our parents’ friends held last summer in Atlanta. We actually had it at the country club where our wedding reception will be held, but didn’t know that at the time. The club was amazingly helpful and organized, and that’s why we’re using them again.

As mentioned in my previous post, shoes are a big deal for me. Although I haven’t fully admitted it yet, it’s probably because I like my feet and my feet don’t gain weight as much as say… my waist! Well, I was shopping at Phipps Plaza with my mom a few months back and we entered Jeffrey.
It was the end of the season so there were lots of sales, but I knew most of the good stuff was already gone. Of course I bee-lined it to the shoes, because you know… feet don’t gain weight (I’m a 6 sometimes a 5.5).
And there in all its lonesome glory, hanging loosely on the shoe stand, the perfect pair of shoes… in my size!! And in our wedding color-PEACH!!
I was already sitting down, shoes off, ready. But oh no - they were too big! The saleslady excused herself, and I thought ”I don’t care if they’re too big; I’m going to stuff stockings in there if I have to!” She came back with foot insoles and they fit so much better! Exhale.

So I looked to Weddingbee and found Ai. Ai did Mrs. Snow Pea’s makeup for her wedding, and I loved it! I sent Ai a few pictures of what I was looking for - she went through all the pictures and really tried to understand what I wanted. After a few emails and phone calls later, I met Ai for the first time on the morning of our e-pics.
I can’t believe I’m putting a picture of my naked face for all the world to see- but here it is in all its “save me! you could have at least put some blush (hehe) on!” glory.

My dress was #2 on the list because I wanted fabulous shoes. I ordered my wedding dress (which is another entry entirely), and ended up saving soo much money, I knew I could splurge on shoes. But first I had to decide which ones?!! I wanted a light shade of pink or peach or ivory, and of course the more sparkle the better.

Yes! My sister was our fabbbbulous photographer for a day!
Is she a professional photographer?? No.
How much did she charge? Nothing!
That’s right, we shot our first set of e-pics with my very own baby sister! (Well, she’s not a baby… more like 23 years old, but you know the older sister thing.)
It all began with us wanting two e-pic sessions—one in NYC (where Mr. Blush and I currently reside), and another back in Atlanta, my hometown. However, we didn’t want to pay another several hundred dollars, so I asked my sister if she would take the pictures for us! In a heartbeat she said yes, but quickly replied back, “Um… how do you shoot e-pics?”
Although this was my sister’s very first time shooting any type of “non-personal” pictures, she was absolutely brilliant! Read more…

I knew I wanted soft subdued colors, but I wanted to do something different. It was difficult since that type of color scheme is so popular. However, with the help of my favorite fashionista - my mother - we came upon three wonderful hues that fit our 1) Georgia 2) winter 3) romantic wedding!!
The only way to really express the essence of our colors is by looking at our wedding invitations. Here is a glimpse:
Please excuse the color of the bow- it’s completely ivory despite the coffee stained look it portrays

Ok no I didn’t meet Heidi or Tim (whom I totally heart), no invite to the tents at Bryant Park, not even a walk through Parsons, BUT… I did spend two glorious hours at MOOD!
For those of you who don’t keep up with Project Runway (hopefully because something impossible has prevented it), MOOD is the fabric store that supplies all the designers with their materials.
Well, two days ago I did MOOD and I will never go back. It’s literally 3 (I think) floors of rolls and rolls of fabric - everything you can imagine.
I decided to check out MOOD after realizing the super cute wedding trend: head pieces! I knew I wanted one for our e-pics and maybe for the reception, but I didn’t know where I could find the perfect one. So yep, I decided to make mine.
The first 30 minutes was spent just gawking at it all. The next 30 minutes was spent feeling totally self conscious and embarrassed about being a commoner amongst the designing gods. Feeling ridiculously uncomfortable and out of my element, I mustered up the courage to ask “Where can I find the tulle?”

We decided to have postcard save the dates awhile back. My soon to be sister-in-law told me about a great website they used for thank you postcards - she directed me to overnightprints!
The online information was incredibly thorough (in a good way), their customer service was top notch, AND they turned out better than I had ever hoped for! I created my own design and template via photoshop. Overnightprints also has a free online design center, which I understand is very simple and easy.
