That’s What It’s All About!

June 20th, 2008 @ 2:16 pm by Miss Candy Corn

I just realized I’ve never posted about our fabulous dj!   At first, we were planning on DIY-ing our wedding music with an Ipod, but I knew I would end up freaking out about the music on the wedding day if we did it ourselves.  I have this image in my head of me hauling a boombox around for backup. I was also scared there’d be a lot of this going on:

I desperately need your help with honeymoon planning. Mr. CC and I know we want to go to Italy in late May ’09 for roughly 10 days (a belated honeymoon since we want to wait until he graduates), and we know we want to go to Florence, Rome and Venice, but trying to figure out how to piece it all together is making my head spin.

Unfortunately, this has been a pretty stressful week of wedding budgeting in our candy land. Mr. CC and I have been cutting costs wherever we can since we decided to pull our contract with our photobooth vendor.

For our place cards, we will be designing MOO MiniCards, which, as you may know from Mrs. Onion’s past post, are basically half the size of business cards, but you can have a different image on the back of each card. Images can be uploaded via Flickr (where I upload my pictures) or from your hard drive. 100 cards are $19.99 (plus $5 shipping), which is a pretty darn good deal I do believe. With a simple drag & drop option, you can crop your photos and voila, customized place cards for your guests!

Rules of Engagement

June 12th, 2008 @ 1:09 pm by Miss Candy Corn

My family has always been deep-rooted with traditions, but they are “our” traditions.  Sometimes when I tell people the stories about our family traditions, they give me this “Are you making this up or ripping it off of some David Sedaris book?” face.  As an example, I’d like to share the following photo taken during this past Christmas of my brother (dressed as Jesus) and Mr. CC, who was alternating between being a gangsta elf and a man-loving elf (not that there’s anything wrong with that!):

This image is not meant to offend, but is merely here to offer a glimpse into our family’s bizarro traditions.

Weeknights are generally low key for Mr. Candy Corn and I, so when we received this in the mail from Mrs. Bee, I was ecstatic:
