Two weekends ago, I was beyond spoiled to death by the shower my girlfriends threw for me. Unfortunately I have no pictures to share… just yet. I have to wait patiently for them to pass it on to me. So many people showed up for dear ol’ me, I just about pissed my pants… it blew my mind! I CANNOT wait to share all the details with you ladies. Hands down, I bow down to my BMs. And a million trillion thanks to our friends who attended and friggin spoiled me (& Mr. CB) rotten. They totally helped us set up house!

On Good Friday (before I took off for a wild and crazy Vegas weekend), mister and I went down to the county clerk office and got our marriage license! We’re that much closer… making us now semi-ficial to mr. and mrs. status! WooP WOOP! We got there 20 minutes early with an appointment, and were out of there by the time our appointment time rolled around. It was awesome!

We asked all the gents in the wedding and family party to save the date so that we could get them all taken care of once and for all in a day. Recently Men’s Wearhouse aka MW Tux bought over a lot of local tuxedo shops, so there are even more convenient locations available.
The easiest thing to do, so that your wedding party isn’t twiddling their thumbs while you pick your selection, is to do it ahead of time. Mr. CB and I went the night before, without an appointment, to pick out each group’s attire and get ourselves registered into the computer. That way all any of our groomsmen had to do was to go to ANY local MW Tux, give them our group number, and spend the next 15 mins getting measured and getting out the door. So at different times throughout the day, our guys got their shiet done! HI FIVE, one more check off the list.
For everyone, we went with a simple, single button tux with simple white shirt and tie. Read more…

Thanks to Mrs. Eggplant’s post about making an appointment online to get our marriage license, we took care of that with the quickness and no hassle. For San Francisco, it’s $89 for the marriage license and $5 for the convenience fee to make an appointment online. So prior to leaving for my “Girls Gone Wild” in Vegas weekend, Mr. CB and I are gonna get semi-ficial with our nuptials. Now that’s done, what’s next? Our officiant.
We’re really honored that our friend accepted being such a big part of our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier because he was the only person we knew that we wanted to officiate us. Now getting him ordained was starting to prick my brain. I wasn’t sure which online ordaining sites were legit and what the process was, and the last thing I wanted to deal with was to not be officially married after going through with the big SHAbang.
So BAM! I found that you could go through the City of County Clerk and do a One Day Deputization! Can’t get more legit and less worrisome than that yeah?

After 1.5 months of sleepless nights, a bare minimum of a social life, 6+ hr nonstop shifts a day, getting extremely ill, forgetting meals… about 400 of these puppies sucked the life of its birthing mama, and these babies have left the nest to their new homes …
I hope the little ones, come flying back home to me soon. Do I sound nuts? Well after that many of them, you’d be too.

As quickly as my relationship ended with our previous videographer, a new one started with our new awesome vendors. Rebound? No way, it’s a new and refreshing relationship …
As soon as I found out the news…. I quickly hopped onto Plan B and started looking into other vendors and made contacts fast to see who would fit in our budget, who might be available on our wedding (note: I also called those that were previously booked; you just never know), and made appointments.
After all that hoopla, I found a referral by a friend who gave me her friend’s business card early in our planning process. I contacted them and bam, Adrian emailed/called me with the quickness. Within the week, we had already made an appointment, discussed all the major/minor details, he addressed all our concerns and worked with us to customize a package that allowed us to book them for two days. As much as I had “problems” to deal with, life goes on. What helped me personally not to crack was to think “it is what it is.” I chose to confide in a handful of good friends because I felt I just had to deal with it and move on. Ultimately, looking at the bigger picture, there are worse problems out there in the world. It’s not life and death. I am still surrounded by the same great people, everyone is healthy and alive. The bad has to come and go to make room for bigger and better things right? Let’s take that positive and run it with chicas.

The second major bonus, the two center rings individually SPIN! How cool is it? We loved it the second we met, and ordered it upon our 2nd visit way back in August last year.

When I blogged about how insanely similar I looked like her at that moment, well I still do, because my invitations are painfully killing me slowly. But I wanted to share one of the humps that I had to get through when Monster Crayons, my previous videographer, dissolved their business with a nice apologetic letter and a promise of refund.
But guess what? I never got that money back from them …
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and respected their distress with the dissolution of their business. I emailed back a couple times to follow up and attempted to contact them via phone with no response. You can understand my slight increase in panic. Read more…
