There are so many choices when it comes to flower girl dresses. Realistically though, I shouldn’t order just yet because the little princess is still growing.
Doesnt stop me from shopping for her though.
There are tons of affordable and gorgeous options other than Us Angels, whose dresses start at $99! Geebus - that’s the price of some really nice bridesmaids’ dresses right there.
Here is a site I came across recently: My girl dress has a large selection of adorable dresses and below are a few of my faves. For sizes 2T and up, you’d have to add $10 the base price. Now through Nov. 30th, enter “FREE SHIPPING EVENT” for purchases of $125.
The dusty rose pink and the chocolate brown sash in the 2nd picture are two of the wedding colors I am trying to achieve. All the dresses are uber fantabulistic adorable, how do you choose?

$45.50 ……………………………………………………………………….$49.50
I began randomly shopping for shoes…. even though I have no dress. Nothing wrong with that.
Meet Grace “Crystal” Shoes - $130.00. Oh how I love thee. But girl you expensive!

Edit: As listed on Scott’s website, his rates begin at $7,500, which include: Scott, as your photographer, a second shooter, an engagement session with 20×30 museum mounted print, proof prints, source files, and an online slideshow with enhanced images. A deluxe hand crafted custom design with 50 images starts at $2,500. Scott offered us a special rate that was custom for us as we’re booking him for not one but TWO days (yes I know super lucky!) Another option is to book through one of Scott’s associate photographers, whose packages begin at $5,500.
I encourage those of you to contact the photographer whose work you love, because most photographers are willing to work with you to customize a package especially when they know you appreciate their work. It doesn’t hurt to contact them to find out what they have to offer and see if it’s a fit for you.
For those of you who are interested in Scott, please feel free to contact him. Just let him know that Miss Cherry Blossom sent you since he currently has a few “friends and family” rates available still for 2008, and you just might be on your way to booking Scott for your wedding!
I was blindly surfing the net for orchids and came across this website that ships fresh flowers to you at a very affordable rate!
Check out - Fifty Flowers for awesome deals! 6,000 Fresh petals, that’s right fresh, for only $139.99! This would definitely be an affordable option to decorate and make a lush aisle pathway.
Not just that - it’s, get this … FREE SHIPPING on ALL ORDERS!!!!!!!!

“Add a memorable touch to your wedding with unique favors that match your theme.”
It took me forever to overcome the shock and reality of getting engaged. I’d get a little transfixed staring at the ring many times during the day. I’d close my eyes and reopen them to see if it was still there. No joke! At night I’d go to sleep and feel the ring on my finger and wake up checking to make sure it was still there and real. I did this for a week. It’s so weird to want something for so long and when you get it, you’re afraid some shut-eye will make it all go away. Please tell me, I’m not the only one that felt this way.
Before getting engaged when we spoke hypothetically of our engagement and wedding, should it happen, I had requested two things of Mr. Cherry Blossom. I asked that he made sure to ask for my dad’s permission (which he did - bc my dad is super OLD SCHOOL) and that we’d go try on rings at least once even though he was far from ready. Maybe a year and half before he even purchased the ring, we went once to try on rings. Trying on rings served a huge purpose for me because I always thought I wanted a princess cut pave diamond eternity band ring, and when I tried it on, I was wrong. It sooooooo did not look right on my fingers … bummers. But not only that, it gave Mr. Cherry Blossom the opportunity to see what designs were available, what styles he liked, and most importantly what my ring size was; that way, when it happened, I could wear it immediately.
Of course I have until next year to worry about my E-pics and where we’d love to take ours, but when I saw that Scott Robert (who is our wedding photog - more on him later) posted Christiana and Roger’s e-pics, it got me all excited to all the possible locations that we could take in SF. Mr. Cherry Blossom and I are not as into taking pictures with major landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge since we’ve lived here our whole lives… so it’s a quest for us to find hidden treasures. One of these days, we’re going to set out and explore hidden locations. So here is a list of the most popular places and some others that I’ve come across …. so far:
1.) Legion of Honor

For your wedding uses….
I looooooooove receiving catalogs and flyers for new and exciting things, although that just makes for a lot of pack-ratting when I don’t have time to get to them.
Ever since I visited the Four Seasons Bridal Fair, I frequently come home to find more mail on new things for weddings. One of the recent catalogs I got this past week was from Expressionery. It’s definitely not your everyday romantic, elegant wedding style, but they have some cute items that can be used for multiple purposes.
For instance: For your save the dates or thank you cards (for after the wedding/bridal shower) try these cards. They’re super cute and simple … all by Smirk.

Ah yes… maybe with the engagement story? I have to warn this is a VERY loooooooong entry, so brace yourselves for some eye sore reading:
The proposal. Mind you, I was clueless up until it was happening.
Several months before our Xmas Eve anniversary, I had mentioned to Mr. Cherry Blossom that we should make a “big deal” out of our upcoming 5 year anniversary by going to a nice dinner at Gary Danko. We agreed on a dollar limit that we could spend on each other. He chose to gift me a weekend getaway to celebrate, which he told me early on. I was stuck til the last minute about what to get him hence my sh*tty gift as you’ll learn.
Two months minus two days to the date we planned to celebrate, I called Gary Danko to make reservations. Because I called two days later than the exact two month date, I had either a 6 pm or 9 pm dinner. I called Mr. Cherry Blossom for his opinion and was pleasantly surprised - I am usually the one that takes care of planning, ie making reservations, planning trips, so you can imagine my surprise at how sweet and thoughtful he was to take the initiative. He beat me by making the reservation exactly on the two month date at a great time AND had already made reservations for our little get away. He would keep the location secret not just from me, but from everyone else. You’d be amazed that a person as curious as me never once tried to pry or dig to find out where we were going, so you can imagine the excitement that surrounded the “You don’t know where you’re going … how romantic … oh my gosh … you’re so going to get engaged!” Me: “Yeah I don’t think so, he’s sOOOOOOOOOOO not ready and he’s made that really clear.”
Hi. I’m Miss Cherry Blossom and I am a wedding-obsessed-super-detailed-oriented-super-cheesy”corny”-chick flick collector-DIY-lovah … nice to meet you. If that wasn’t a mouthful already, I’m sure I can go on some more. ![]()
Me = Miss Cherry Blossom. Who would have thunk it?! Not me and for that I feel extremely lucky to have been selected to be a part of this wedding community since I’ve been an avid reader since before Weddingbee was launched and since well, before I was engaged. Now I can shamelessly talk about anything and everything wedding related without fear that my friends might think that I am incapable of talking or thinking about anything else. I think I am already worried about post-wedding-depression. Just Kidding!
All kidding aside. Let me tell you a little about Mr. Cherry Blossom and myself. First, it was a failed opportunity by friends to introduce me to this guy they thought I would be interested in, followed by meeting him once a year over the next two years in a row at a friend’s birthday party, did we finally become friends … third time’s the charm, right? Mr. Cherry Blossom likes to tease me “oooooh, it must be fate.” Yeah, I’d like to think so.
We were friends for a year and half before we finally officially got together. Fast forward 5 1/2 years later, and we’re planning the two-day weekend wedding of our dreams.
