I would like to preface this post by saying that we did, in fact, have a very relaxing honeymoon, and the Caribbean Ocean simply cannot be beat. However, this post is not about how great our honeymoon was (that comes tomorrow). This is a post about getting really sick, and how you can avoid getting really sick yourself.
We’ve been back from our honeymoon for a week, and I have been sick for a week and a half. There’s no need to get into the details of exactly what kind of sick I am, as I’m pretty sure you can use your imagination. Mr. Cream Puff is also sick, but not quite as sick as I am. The day I got sick, we went on an excursion to Tulum. The excursion involved swimming in a cenote and zip-lining. We were not allowed to bring our own water for some reason, and they provided water for us. Their water was not bottled. I originally thought I got sick from this water, but looking back on our pictures, I already looked sick, and I remember feeling not-so-hot as we were preparing to do the zip-line. Evidence:

Originally, Mr. Cream Puff and I made the decision that we would see one another before our ceremony for formal pictures. We did this to be practical, even though we both would prefer to see each other for the first time at the ceremony.
Well, when we changed photographers, we also changed our minds. “Screw practicality!” we said. We decided to wait to see one another until the ceremony. This left us (read = me) with the task of figuring out how to schedule the photography sessions so that we didn’t miss our cocktail hour, which was also important to us. Here’s what I came up with:

Wanna hear a funny story? I thought you might.
We left for our honeymoon late on Monday night after our Saturday wedding. On Monday morning, I got a very strange phone call. “Hello, Ms. Cream Puff? This is [MIL Puff’s Name].” I thought to myself, “No, this is not MIL Puff. I know MIL Puff’s voice, and this is not MIL Puff. So who the heck is this?”

It makes sense that this post should follow the rehearsal dinner post, because we gave our bridal party the gifts AT the rehearsal dinner.
First, the girls. Because San Francisco can be chilly, I wanted to get them wraps to keep them warm during the wedding. I had a bright pink pashmina to wear that day with my white dress, so I thought it might be fun to give them white pashminas to go with their bright dresses. They loved them! Here are four of the bridesmaids (and our officiant), all wearing the pashminas on the day of the wedding:

(Hey, do you guys like how I slipped a non-professional picture in there to show you some, but not much, of the day? I’m sly like that).

I haven’t been to many rehearsal dinners before, but I doubt many of them were like ours. Complete with atrocious singing voices and Momma Puff & FIL Puff running around with shriveled chicken heads on forks, our pre-wedding party was quite the spectacle. It even started out a little wacky:

Most of our guests met us in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt, where we were staying. We walked together through the famous Chinatown gate, and a couple of blocks to the restaurant.
Hi guys!! Mr. Cream Puff and I got back from our honeymoon late late Tuesday night. I just logged in to WeddingBee and saw that I am now logged in as “Mrs. Cream Puff.” WEIRD. I still haven’t used the term “my husband” in a sentence (mostly because I have no need to refer to him in the third person, as we’ve been together nonstop for the past 2 weeks), but I think it will probably feel weird. I was just getting used to calling him “my fiancé!” Now he wears a ring on his finger, which looks totally out of place (but I love it!). I keep thinking, “you’re married?! To whom?!” And then I realize he’s married to me. Which, of course, starts me thinking about how weird that is all over again.
What? You want me to stop blabbering and tell you about the wedding? Okay, okay. Overall, the wedding was awesome! I was totally thrilled with how our color scheme panned out. The girls looked fabulous together, and the guys’ ties were magnificent with their tuxes. I hadn’t talked about our flowers too much, but I was totally blown away by them. The chuppah looked FANTASTIC in Crissy Field, it really did. I was thrilled. And the day? It seriously couldn’t have been more beautiful. Check out our guests and the perfect, blue sky:

Last night I finished my last DIY project: I had family and friends who were in town come over for a pizza party and trolley-car decorating party. We made four cheesy signs using cheap-o acrylic paint and foam board, and had a great time eating Zachary’s pizza.
And now, my friends, this is it:

Crissy Field or bust! The Cream Puffs are GETTING MARRIED!!!

There were certain projects I had to leave until the very end. Right now, Mr. Cream Puff and FSIL Puff are taking all the stuff for the reception to our caterer, and Puff Daddy is taking all the ceremony stuff to the day of coordinators. Momma Puff and I are about to go distribute OOT bags and go to the craft store to get the makings for trolley signs. It’s all coming together, people!
Here are some lovely pictures of OTHER people helping me with projects! I’ve noticed that people are totally offering to help now that it’s a week before the wedding. WHEW! I’m certainly not going to turn them down!
Mr. Cream Puff had an awesome system for putting our favors together:
OMG. I am so completely thrilled. As odd as it might seem to have engagement pictures taken a week before the wedding, I am so glad we did it. When we hired our new photographer (a month ago), she really wanted us to take some engagement pictures. She said it would loosen us up and help us get comfortable with her, so that on the day of our wedding we’d be sort of “used” to someone snapping tons of pictures of us. She was SO right. After our session with Kim on Friday, we were even MORE sure that we’d made the right decision to “fire” our old photographer and get a new one. Kim of Jennifer Kloss Photography is amazing. We felt totally, 100% comfortable with her, and she’s really, really talented.
She and Jen really wanted us to have some pictures before the wedding, for two reasons: first, they wanted us to have them to display at the wedding, and second, they wanted us to see more of Kim’s work. And in just three days, Jen emailed us the teasers. Holy. Crap. That’s all I have to say. Holy crap. It’s the best decision we’ve made yet.

We had kind of a difficult time deciding what type of guestbook to choose. We thought about photo mats, polaroid guestbooks, etc. etc. Nothing seemed quite right. At the end of the day, Mr. Cream Puff really wanted a photobooth, so we decided to split the cost on it and get one. After that, our guestbook decision was an easy one.
Remember my photo album for our professional pictures (I mistyped my post and it was super confusing? Now maybe you remember, haha)? That was made for us by one of my old co-workers, who has gone into business making amazing albums. She also made us our guestbook, which is made to match.
