Yesterday, while Mr. Daisy was at work, the following envelope arrived.

It contained an invitation to the wedding of a friend-of-a-friend. I do wonder who he will bring as his guest, since they left the option open for him… fingers crossed!

Though I’m (clearly) no Willy Wonka, I decided to make Mr. Daisy some chocolate-covered pretzels to celebrate the auspicious occasion of our first married Valentine’s Day. Using a mold I bought at Michael’s and neither experience nor skill, I produced six pretzel rods for his consumption. I guess it’s pretty much a given that, in addition to the gift of a spouse, a wedding also gets you gifts of the more material kind. The ones from Mr. Daisy and my immediate family were more than I ever expected and just blew me away. My favorite wedding gift was from Mr. Daisy– my wedding band.
