Mr. French Fries and I are in the midst of making an important wedding-related decision: where to celebrate and relax after the wedding is over! We’ve thrown around so. many. ideas. throughout the honeymoon planning process; here are a few locales that we considered:

Like so many others before me, I’ve decided to take on a few wedding DIY details. And by a few, I mean the following: a slew of tulle pomanders, 120 linen napkins, our entire invitation suite from scratch, and all wedding-related paper (including but not limited to): programs, escort cards, candy jar signage, photo booth signage, glassine envelopes for guest favors, and possibly other things as well. When Mr. French Fries and I throw dinner parties… I mean, er… when Mr. French Fries and I have friends over for drinks and apps while we decide where we should go out for dinner, we don’t put on smooth jazz, Kenny G instrumentals, or Rat Pack classics for background music. Typically, I put on one of the OnDemand music channels we get with our digital cable (that is if I can set my wine glass down long enough to grab the remote and turn something on).

Not for me, silly. I will gladly be wearing my sweet Cossette to our reception as well as our ceremony, but there will be some changes made to parts of my bridal get-up. I’ll take out my cathedral length veil — it would only pick up dirt and debris around the reception hall–and I’ll have my dress bustled so that I can dance unabashedly to “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics on the dance floor (most likely looking like Elaine from Seinfeld).

I outlined previously how we’ll be making cloth napkins for our wedding reception. I’ve recruited MOH French Fries and Mom French Fries, both of whom are well-versed in the sewing arena, to help me with this project. Luckily, I think that between the three of us we’ll be able to finish the project with our sanity still intact. (Fingers crossed!)
