About Bee Spotlight

Mrs. Bee

How do I write a Bee Spotlight on myself? ;)

Well, you’ve been following along with my life the past couple of years through Weddingbee, so there isn’t much new news to share. So instead I thought I’d share a couple of our wedding pictures, because I never really posted any. Why? Here’s another little Bee Secret — I don’t post pictures of Mr. Bee. I share so much of my life, I figure at least one aspect has to remain private right? ;)

So here are some details from our Big Day. Remember — this was back in the day when we used film cameras, and walked ten miles to school with no shoes in the snow — so these are all scanned pictures.

I wish I had a better picture of the back of my Anne Barge dress. The front was pretty simple, but the train was covered in beading in an upside down v shape, and peeked out when I walked or bustled my dress.  It was what made me buy the dress!

We had very simple invitations from Dauphine Press. They had a leaf motif which we carried throughout our wedding stationery…

Mr. Bee’s dad wore a traditional Filipino shirt, a barong, for the wedding.

The first, and probably only time, that I will wear the traditional Korean dress, a hanbok.

This bag holds dates and chestnuts that Mr. Bee and I are supposed to catch in a scarf.  They represent the number of sons and daughters that we are supposed to have.

I love seeing these pictures. Your centerpieces are classic and lovely! I wish I could see the back of your dress, too! That’s why I chose mine, too, though.

Tell Mr. Bee he has a very handsome bottom-mouth (bottom of his face/mouth, not hiney). :) And the same to BIL, too, I guess!

Lovely post, Mrs. Bee–You look so beautiful and I especially enjoyed the pictures with you in traditional Korean garb…I’ve only been following WeddingBee since late summer–did you do a post on the traditional Korean ceremony portion of your wedding? Maybe that would be a fun feature from all the different bees–old and new–wedding traditions from different cultures/heritages and how they incorporated those traditions in their ceremonies (I so enjoyed the post about your trip!).
