About Me: I have been in wedding planning mode since Mr. Jelly Beans popped the question almost two years ago. I am a very dorky and sentimental person. I love laughing and living life alongside my husband-to-be. We have been in a long distance relationship for over 6 years - he is in California and I am presently in Canada, so you can imagine how excited we both are for our upcoming wedding.
In our quest to find something cute and inexpensive to add to our OOT boxes, off we went to a warehouse far, far away, where only members can go. Our final destination: Costco. We ultimately decided that the solution to our problem would be found if we went goldfishin’. These tasty treats by Pepperidge Farm come in small snack size packages. Perfection in every way!
I had tons of leftover light pink labels that I used for our boxed invitations from Online Labels. I printed our message with my HP printer and there you have it - pink, cute and personalized!
My MOH lovingly transferred the little fishies into clear, resealable plastic baggies with gloves. Why gloves, might you ask? Well, the answer is simple, to prevent unsightly fingerprints on the outside of the baggies. I know that sounds totally absurd but I wouldn’t have had it any other way! No wonder we’re great friends!
I leave you now with pictures of our golden masterpieces and a song to brighten your day!

We went to one of our closest friends and one of my bridesmaid’s co-ed wedding shower last weekend. They had a black and white cocktail theme. I love theme parties!Everything looked amazing! She is equally if not more detail-oriented than I am. No wonder she’s one of my closest friends.
Of course I took tons of pics of all the adorable details. Everything was so coordinated and pretty!
I am so excited for her and her upcoming wedding!
Here are some of the many pics that I took that night! Enjoy!

The guys and girls got ready at the Minto Suite Hotel in downtown Ottawa. We checked in Friday night at 11:30 PM after a long day of finalizing details, getting manis and pedis, last minute dash to purchase my sparkly clutch, arguing about pillows, paying vendors, tent walk through, attending the rehearsal, hosting the rehearsal dinner, transporting the candy buffet and hanging Christmas lights in August. Phew!
We had scheduled an early start for the girls- 8:00 AM, according to the wedding timeline, and surprisingly everyone was right smack on time. Gotta love them! We had champagne, baked goodies, donuts and pizza, contributed by the guys of course. My girls were kind enough to avoid any last minute stain emergencies, preventing what could have been a possible bridezilla moment. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Life has been quite unexpected since the wedding. I am so not going to bore you with all the details so instead I wanted to share more pictures of our special day!
Enjoy the eye candy!

After months and months of searching for our rehearsal dinner venue we finally decided to host it in our favorite Thai Restaurant. Yummy! My mouth starts to water just thinking about it. *drooling*So after making that all important decision, I was finally able to start creating our rehearsal invitations. Mr. Jelly Bean’s reaction was quite priceless “Do we really need another invitation?” Silly wabbit!
I knew I wanted to incorporate our vintage Parisian theme but also keeping in mind our increasing wedding costs. So I needed something vintage, adorable and cheap. It was the cheap part that was challenging. I found so many I loved but cost was a major factor.
I finally hit the jackpot during one of my shopping trips to our local Winners. Vintage Postcards - $5.99 for 24 postcards. What a steal! And I wouldn’t need to purchase envelopes. As simple as printing and mailing. Well kinda!

Family and friends’ reactions as they came in. “Wow! Everything’s sooo pink” Ummmm, Hi Hello I am Miss Jelly Beans. I take it we haven’t met before.
We (Miss Jelly Beans and her two best friends) bought three different shades of roses from Costco. And then we hit the jackpot and found an amazing deal on the vintage urns at the dollar store. Now you have the makings of an easy DIY and pretty centerpiece. We placed them in trios all over the house. I loved how they turned out.
We placed fresh raspberries in wine glasses simply because we can!
Of course the plates, cutlery and cups were pink! I stamped our pink napkins with cute wedding stamps that I purchased from Michaels. Brown ink of course.

They did such a great job making them. They go so well with everything we had already sent out paper-wise. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Details are all falling into place. Still tons to do but you know what, I still love wedding planning. Am I insane to be saying that 10 days before the wedding? Or perhaps I am in total and utter denial. Hmmm….
Anywhoo, I got my garters in the mail along with my dress monogram. And can I tell you just how much I love them!!! Ooodles and oodles!
I purchased all three from Handcrafted Creations. I highly, highly recommend her. You know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you meet someone who is passionate about their work and loves weddings almost as much as you do? Well this is definitely a warm and fuzzy moment! Victoria was very prompt in answering emails with my endless questions. I swear I had no idea there were so many options when it came to my garter. I ended up getting a Eiffel tower charm for my garter. Super cute!
It was so exciting receiving them in the mail. I was thinking of “breaking them in” or is that a silly notion that I thought up while I was dreaming about our wedding?

Ok so we are now 11 days away from our wedding day! Woot! Woot!
I would like to paint a picture of what the last few weeks have been in the Jelly Bean household.
Hold on to something, you are in for a bumpy ride.
My dad, very ambitious but lacks “bridal organizational skills” decided to dig up a perfectly good backyard, sideyard and front entryway 1.5 months before the wedding. Fast forward to today. I blindfold myself every time I enter and exit the house.
My dad, and my 3 younger brothers purchase a full size drum set which is now located in the middle of the family room amidst my wedding piles. *enter tranquilizer dart*
I just received an email this morning from our decorator, that the company who was going to drape our tent had an incident involving fire and our draping fabric. So that means no draping for the Jelly Beans wedding. Surprisingly, I was calm when I called our wedding planner. There was no throwing, screaming or crying of any kind. Yet.

One piece of advice for all the brides to be out there if you are going the DIY route like I did. If at all possible, work on the programs early. I repeat, early!
I thought I had everything planned out. But you know what, so many unexpected things arise that you have no control over. I didn’t anticipate that the church would take forever before approving our program. I didn’t take into consideration how long and time consuming the printing would be. I didn’t take into consideration the entire trial and error process. And lastly I didn’t anticipate that all my hard work would go down the drain due to an unfortunate cutting incident.
Why do I care so much that font colors match? Why doesn’t my template align? Why does my printer insist on eating my pretty pink paper? Why can’t I tie a ribbon to save my life? Why don’t I have any sensation left in my right hand?
Ingredients:
Square Luxe Cards in blush from Paper Source
(1) 1/8″ hole punch
5/8″ Satin Brown ribbon
12ss Swarovski crystals
Glue
(1) Ink Jet Printer
(1) Mr. Jelly Beans
and oodles and oodles of chocolates, time and patience!

As promised here is the product of all our collaborative hard work this week. Thanks to Mr. Jelly Beans staying up all night to put the finishing touches we are finally done.
I purchased placecards from Paper Source in Luxe Blush and printed what seemed like an endless amount of cards with my trusty inkjet printer. Then thanks to everyone’s friend, Martha, much to Mr Jelly Beans dismay, I found the cutest edge punch that we used to embellish the ends for a more vintage spin. And because I am Miss Jelly Beans, crystals were a must! We are using the clear swarovskis to indicate a beef entree and a pink one to indicate a chicken entree.
All in all, this took a few days from start to finish, from the printing, the edging and the glueing. Phew! It was very labor intensive but I am so pleased with the end results.
Thank you Mr. Jelly Beans!

The countdown that is!
19 more days until our wedding. Wow! Time flew by so fast as soon as we hit the 1 month mark.
So what have I been up to?
Well I have been a missing bean in action due to the following events:
1. Mr. Jelly Bean and I purchased a car! Yeay! But along with the yeay comes exhausting amounts of paperwork.
2. Following up on the missing RSVPS. Dont even get me started. Oh but since I have already started, we had an usher (not the R&B sensation, that wouldn’t fit in the budget), ringbearer and flowergirl back out less than a month before the wedding.
3. Work in Progress- Ceremony programs and Placecards. I spent a ridiculous amount of hours printing out the programs. Brought it to Staples to have them cut only to realize that all the cuts were uneven big time. Bummer! So now back to square one.
