Here are a few more photos of our kick ass time pole dancing at Exotic Dance Central.
Our instructor who was amazing on the pole. She made it look so easy.

I am a product of divorced parents. I think my situation is a little unusual because they just recently (5 years ago) divorced after over 40 years of marriage. For a few years it was rough for both sides but we managed to work it out and have since moved on. I think they’re much happier now. Since it was an arranged marriage, I guess they felt somewhat pushed to love one another. Mr. Apple and I both agree that an unhappy marriage should never stay together for the sake of children.

I got it. Over 10 months into wedding preparation I now understand.
Now that things are winding down, vendors are booked, and parties are complete, I’ve realized how much this wedding has taken over one year of my life. Initially my wedding intentions were to project fun (I love projects) for everyone including Mr. Apple, my maid of honor, family, and friends. But to my disapointment, no one enjoyed it as much as me. Hence, the introduction of Xanga then Weddingbee.

I just got back from my NYC trip and overall it was good except for Saturday from 10pm-1am. I broke down ladies and gentlemen. I had too many people to see, too many things to do in one weekend. I overdid it. Lesson learned.
But first, here’s a cute photo of Miss. Apple, Mrs. Bee, Mrs. Butterfly.
I think Becky, the other bride, and I had the best intentions to make it a fun night. But it would probably have been better if we made it more intimate with our close friends and family instead of trying to combine our friends together - though we do have mutual friends.
Garden Ridge always has great deals on decorative items so I decided to stop by this past weekend to take a look. They had piles and piles of Easter items on sale. I found these cute Easter baskets on sale for half off - $1.50 each basket. They had so many different colors, sizes, and designs. Unforunately, I couldn’t find one that had a creme/sage/chocolate color, but I found ones that were just as cute! The colors/fabric on the baskets are playful and age appropriate for the little munchkins.
We have a total of 40 kids under the age of 13 attending our wedding. I know they will be a main part of the wedding - running around the tables, playing along with the photographer, and pointing and laughing at us kissing. So, their tables had to be decked out as much as the adults. But of course within a kid budget.
Here is the breakdown of the items.
Garden Ridge - baskets, moss = approx total $2.12 each basket
Walmart - crayon sets, crayon books = approx total $4.00 each basket
Misc Toys and Bubble Gum = approx total $ 1.00 each
total = $7.00 - $8.00 per basket

I bought a shadow box a few months ago from Target and was planning to just add some engagement photos inside, but realized I could just turn it into our wedding time capsule. I am such a sentimental person that this would be perfect for me (insert Mr. Apple too). I love keeping old letters, birthday cards, random movie tickets, museum stubs, airplane tickets…you get the point. So instead of just storing away all of our wedding related memorabilia, why not keep all of the essentials in a cute box!
I will also be adding our “5 things we would like to accomplish in 5 years” list. This list includes goals that we’d like to achieve within the next five years. I have heard that if you write it down on paper, it will happen.
I just threw in some engagement photos, our wedding bands, a wedding invitation, wax stamper, and our 5 things we would like to accomplish list into the box. This won’t be the final wedding capsule - I just wanted to give you an idea of how it will look. I think once we get married, I’ll have more time and items to add into the mix.
I hope this gives you some inspiration to create your own time capsule! I think you and the Mr. will really enjoy reading it after 5, 10, 20 years.
I cannot wait another day for our double bachelorette party in NYC this upcoming weekend. It’s a full fledged 3 day weekend extravaganza. We’re hitting these spots thanks to everyone’s helpful suggestions on weddingbee and friends/family. Oh, where would I be without my bees….sigh.
Friday arrival - check in hotel, shop in Nolita/Soho at www.themarketnyc.com (up and coming designers - I’ve been here before and loved it!), dinner at The Mermaid Inn, late night dinner/dessert/drinks at The Tour Restaurant.
Saturday - Clinton Street Baking Company for brunch, shop at Bleecker Street, Exotic Pole Dancing, Dinner at Tony DiNapoli, and Lotus NYC - celebration!
Sunday - Joe’s Shanghai in Chinatown for brunch and shop around, pick up some baked goodies and depart for home.
Me and my friend Becky (another bride) will be wearing white tops and everyone else will be wearing black, just so we stick out a little. Here are our picks.
Gabby Mac is a Canadian company that creates pretty silk hair flowers for you or your wedding party (MOH, BM, JB, or flower girl hairpieces). These would also be great alternatives to the traditional boutinerre. Just clip them on they’ll never wilt for sure! The pieces are exclusively designed by GabbyMac herself, and are made with genuine swarvoski crystals and authentic pearls 7-9mm.
I have fallen for these damn ranunculus again. They’re so cute! These would work so well with my bouquet since I have included ranunculus into my arrangement. Which ones do you like best with my qi pao?
While browsing the internet for some classic and simple pearl bracelets, this caught my attention @ www.ice.com.

I actually thought for a second that spending $995 on my bridal jewlery (bracelet) was justifiable! But it’s so pretty and it would match my earrings and dress so well. They also offer an option of 5 easy payments of only $199/month. That sounds do-able, yes? ![]()
Tell me my bees, should I “buy this item” and check out now?
I can see Mr. Apple shaking his head at me already…think about what I could do with an extra $1000.00.

As I’m getting older, getting invited to friends/family weddings are becoming more frequent. It’s nice to see everyone settling in with their significant others - happy and excited about their future together.
These decorative cut out sugar heart cubes are so adorable for bridal parties. I can hear the “ooohs” and “ahhhhhs,” and “those are soooo cute” comments already!

You can find all of these items and more at coxandcox.co.uk. I would love to give or receive any of these gifts!
It’s been about 9 months since I started wedding planning and in some way, iIm a little sad that this whole experience will be ending soon. I’ve learned so much - I can’t believe how much detail and time goes into planning a wedding. I’m just amazed at the amount of information one can get from the web, but more than anything, I’m thankful.
It’s funny because I was never the type to wanted to get married. I was perfectly a-ok with being bf and gf with Mr. Apple. I guess it’s funny how people change with age. But wedding planning has been the bomb. It’s been stressful yet satisfying. I’ve loved every minute of researching wedding bands, sealing invitations with Mr. Apple, going to makeup trials with my MOH, reading Weddingbee, and going to Borders and reading up on the latest trends in Martha’s Wedding Magazine.
Surprisingly, after all of this my most favorite moment thus far has been selecting my flower girl dresses. I had so much fun having Katie (my flower girl) try on little pretty pink and green dresses. She really enjoyed it which made the experience that more memorable.
What’s been your most favorite of wedding planning?
This will be followed by my next post, “What’s been your least favorite of wedding planning?” ![]()
I picked up my flower girl and junior bridesmaid dresses yesterday. Kids Impressions has a wide selection of flower girl dresses and ringbearer suits at a very reasonable price. I think it was the best price I’ve found thus far online and at retail boutiques. When I went in today, I browsed the aisles and noticed they had new dresses in. They were so cute, possibly cuter than the ones I picked! Ouch!
I really love my junior bridesmaid creme color dress with the sage sash, but I’m unsure about the color of the peach flower. Any suggestions on another flower/color choice?
