(Please ignore the crap in the background…and my tired look)
It is a custom-made, 1-layer, 65″, ivory, standard cut veil with a 3 inch clear comb and a custom cut fullness of 54-inches wide at the comb, 72 inches wide at the bottom. The 65 inch length pretty much made my veil into a Cathedral veil because I’m shorter than most (5′1″). Haha.
Yay for petite ladies!! We can get Cathedral veils for cheaper - it was less than $40 (including shipping)!! Thank you to Tristan for her review of Occansey Designs!

Lately during normal business hours, my mind wanders to these three topics: Work, Weddingbee, and where my packages are in the tracking system. So far this week, I’ve received these items from across the US:
Currently tracking FG Dress (from Briar Patch in Texas)
Thanks to advancements in technology, I am wondering where in the world my packages are every three seconds in between work and Weddingbee.
What is your distraction at work?

Shy Siren designers Anita Lin and Sara Schwittek make unique handcrafted jewelry and accessories from pearls, semi precious stones, Swarovski crystal and glass beads. They also carry a large collection of Belle Bags which are designed and sewn by Sara’s twin sister Amy (I’m partial to twins ’cause I am one!). What a perfect combination for a BM gift.

Anna Niponica custom designs beautiful dresses out of gorgeous silk kimonos — *sigh* They are based in Japan, however, they do accept orders from overseas via Paypal.

My cat is one of those not-so-independent cats. She likes to sit on my lap, sleep next to me on the bed and talk to Mr. Orange and I when we arrive home. So, I’m wondering how she’ll bear 6 days without us? Or should I say how will I bear 6 days without her?
Are you leaving a pet behind when you go on your honeymoon?

I’m not on a diet, but I am watching what I eat for the pending dress fitting in December. One thing I learned to enjoy are meringue cookies from Trader Joe’s. They’re stiff meringues sold in small buckets for around $3. And essentially, they are egg whites whipped with sugar. They come in a number of flavors — my fave is lemon for now. It just disappears in my mouth as soon as I bite into it and yet, leaves my sweet tooth happy without chocolate or craving for more. (and only 2 Weight Watcher points!)

I don’t think ours looks anything like this because Mr. Orange and I decided to spend more on what we think is important. For me, it was the stationery (letterpress!!). For Mr. Orange, it was the photographer.
So, what’s your *BIG* splurge ?

My MOH is planning a *secret* bridal shower. I had only one request: a towel cake. I saw one at my work friend’s bridal shower earlier this year and loved it!!! Practical and oh so pretty. It’s not hard to make (instructions: here), and it will be a lovely centerpiece for your bridal shower :). (Eventually, you can have one made for your baby shower too.)

Mr. Orange and I dated 11 months before he popped the question. Three months before the engagement, we went to my college friend Matt’s wedding. Even before then, I knew that Mr. Orange and I had a good chance of being together forever and ever amen (who gets that country song reference?).
But I hesitated to think much more beyond that until - well, at Matt’s wedding, I caught the bouquet.

Thanks to my sister and her beau for the artwork, and to Travis at Parklife Press. (Oh by the way, they’re offering 10% off on orders started by Nov. 5.) My invitations and rsvp postcards left North Carolina on Monday and I’ve been tracking them via my mightly Bloglines package tracking system. They arrived at my FMIL/FFIL’s this evening!
Despite my iPod devastation, I mustered enough energy to drive an hour to get there and see these beautiful invites!!! They were wrapped in bright green and blue tissue paper, then securely placed in boxes. Another two months before I get to assemble them and mail them out! Gosh, can you hear the clock ticking?

I know this is so not related to weddings, but I need major hugs and support — my iPod just died. It skipped songs and did some funky things on my way home from work. I bought it 3 years ago. I’m not even sure if it’s worth sending it to support or if I should just get the new nano. I use it everyday to and from work and have never left it anywhere. I’ve left my cellphone, keys, and wallet elsewhere before, but never my iPod. I read before that some people take their iPod seriously — like it’s a pet or part of them even. It’s a sad day in Orangeville.

When Mr. Orange and I went to scout out the location in February, our critera was simple:
Good food
One wedding at a time
Not too gaudy
I had been to a wedding at our location the summer before, and already knew that the food was good and that their Matre D’ was super attentative. So, after only viewing 2 locations, we placed our deposit. Summer and some autumn brides could have their ceremony and cocktail hour outside. Since our date is in March, I think we’ll stay inside
