Someone I know who works for Tiffany shared this info with me…
“The Novo (‚”to make a new‚? in latin) is the first cushion brilliant cut diamond engagement ring to be launched. It just hit Tiffany stores this month.
Man, last night I spent 1 hour on the elliptical. “To get fit for the wedding,” you ask? Nahhhh, to watch 24! The lengths I go to watch my most favorite TV show… hahahaha. It’s because I don’t have a TV yet, but my gym downstairs has these little personal TV’s you can watch while you exercise. The only thing is you have to keep moving or else the screen will blank out.
Anyhoooo, why do I mention 24?? Because it was one of the themes we were considering for our wedding reception. Crazy, I know. hahaha. But that’s how much Mr. Peach and I LOOVVVEEE 24. In fact, that is one of the few things we have in common. We seriously thought of different ways we might be able to do this, but in the end we decided to scrap it and go with the Southern theme, since we met in GA , I grew up there, and that’s where we’re having our wedding (and most of our guests are from out of town and thought they’d like that).
So I was wondering… do you have a wedding theme? And/or what are some themes you rejected? You know what they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. ^_^

Okay, I was just looking through some Q&A on the knot, and came across a question asking how to send an invitation to the White House.
How funny is that! Hahaha. They send you a pre-printed card with signatures from the Prez and the First Lady. Kinda interesting, eh? Maybe if I have extra invitations left over, I’ll do it. Just for the heck of it.
Like they say, it could make a “wonderful keepsake.”
Whatdya think? Would you do it?
Wow, looking back on my past entries, I realized the last time I griped about my invites was back in November. Two months later, I finally have them done and sent. Praise the Lord! ^_^
To save some money, I bought my own paper and used my own printer to print the text. It was a bit crazy because I went to three different AC Moore’s to find the right colored paper and basically cleaned out their stock. In the end there was still not enough of the right color green so I decided, what the heck, I’ll just have two different invite colors. haha.
Before I reveal them to you, I must give shoutouts to four people.
1. Mr. Peach’s friend, Sandy (Yaniuan), who designed them! She was was super great to work with. I totally recommend her! If you like her work and want her to design your invites, you can find her info here: http://www.yaniuan.com/
2. Sandy’s friend, Michelle, who hand screen printed each one of them! Her website: www.lucknikdesign.com. I can’t believe she did each one by hand, they turned out absolutely lovely.
3. Mr. Peach, for staying up late to help me finish putting on the ribbons.
4. Thanks to a weddingbee reader, Michelle, who commented on my past entry about my invites and inspired me to pursuse a Magnolia theme for the flowers!

Okayyyy so I was wondering, what’s the best BM gift you’ve received?
I’m kind of stuck on what to get my girls. I really like the shirts with the crystals that spell out “bridesmaid” or something of the sort. But I was thinking… if I received this as a gift, would I wear it more than once? After the wedding is over, I feel like it would get demoted to a pj top. I guess there’s nothing totally wrong with that. But I want to get them something that they will really like and make them feel appreciated. Of course, I’m on a tight budget so it’d have to be within reason.
So yeah, what was the best BM gift you recieved? (or the worst?) Or what would you like to receive if you are/will be a BM? Any particular thoughts on those crystal shirts?
Has anyone used the Knot’s guest manager to do RSVPs for their wedding? Mine seems to be acting up. Yesterday it showed that I had 5 yes’s and 5 no’s. But when I checked the actual list, I could only find 5 yes’s and 2 no’s. And then today, I received another yes via email (service provided by the Knot guest list manager), so I went to the website to check again. It now shows 6 yes’s and 6 no’s!!
Has anyone else had this sort of problem? This is the only way we’re accepting RSVP’s. Ahhhhhhhh!!! This is what I get for sending invites late and thus having to do RSVPs via online. >_< Speaking of invites… I promise I will finally show the weddingbee world this week what they look like. I wanted to wait to send them off to my guests first.

I was never into tanning. Even if it was the “in” thing, I preferred my pale skin. And never in my dreams did I think I’d consider getting a fake tan. Especially back in the day when the only option for fake baking was a tanning bed - horribly unhealthy. However, these days I look at pictures of myself and think, “Dang, I’m so freakin pale!” Especially against my very bright white dress. I was talking to one of my BMs about how pale I was, when she told me that she once got an airbrush tan that looked natural and wasn’t that expensive.
Wow… what technology can do these days. I first heard about airbrush tanning a few months ago when I was watching TV, and they showed Eva Longoria getting an airbrush tan. (well, they didn’t really “show” everything, but yeah). I was like, no wonder that girl has such glowy skin all the time! And then I became skeptical of all of Hollywood and their glowy skin. But I thought airbrushing didn’t go beyond the Hollywood scene, until I heard it from one of my BMs.
So as the day grows closer, I’ve been thinking… should I give it a try? I was reading a cnn article about how beyond a healthy looking glow, some airbrush tanning can even add muscle definition! Isn’t that crazy?
While I was at home, I finally decided on my wedding jewelry! For the longest time before I even started looking, I debated whether or not I’d go for crystals or pearls. I was almost convinced I would stick to crystals, because I couldn’t see myself wearing a strand of pearls as my necklace. I felt that it would truncate my neck and make me look shorter. Plus, in Korean culture, pearls represent tears. So Mama Peach said back in her day, people never wore pearls as wedding jewelry. Of course times have changed… Oh and I dunno, I always imagined I’d have medium-sized dangly earrings and a simple necklace.
Anyhooooo! Over the course of two weeks I searched high and low for the perfect jewelry set, of course limited by my budget. In the end, I ended up with these two final contenders:
Contender 1:

Alrighty, I know the use of chapstick was discussed a little bit when Miss Strawberry posted about Mr. Strawberry’s chapstick addiction and the groom’s cake, but the comments seemed to focus more on the groom’s cake.
So I’m writing to ask for your help on my quest for luscious lips!
Okay, so I’m not really a big flower person so I was kind of whatevers about flowers for my wedding. I figured I’d just get something that looks nice but inexpensive. That is until I came across these:
Oooo! Our bed came in today! Woohoooo~ This is the first time I’m sleeping in my OWN queen bed. Yep yep. When I was growing up and in college and grad school I slept on a single. Now I was quite excited about this queen bed, but it presents itself a dilemma…
Because Mr. Peach and I won’t be living together until we get married, I have the bed to myself for the next two months or so… Sooooo what side do I sleep on?? The right? The left? Closer to the door? Closer to the window? I asked Mr. Peach if he has a preference and he answered that he didn’t, but he asked “Isn’t the man supposed to sleep closest to the door?” His reasoning, or rather one he had heard, was that the man sleeps closer to the door because if someone were to break into the house the man will be in a better position to protect the woman.
Which side of the bed are/will you and your spouse/sig-o be sleeping on? Was there a reason behind it?
I guess for now, I’ll spend some time experimenting. hahaha~
Happy Happy New Years Everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA for awhile… I have missed theeeee! I was at home in Atlanta in Super-Wedding-Planning mode, but I’m back in NJ now and boy do I have much to share.
To start off, my dad brought my traditional Korean outfit (called Hanbok) from Korea. Last summer my grandmother took me to get this dress tailored. Mr. Peach, Mama Peach, and Mama-in-law Peach also got a tailored outfit. I won’t be posting pictures of me in mine until after the wedding, but you can take a peek in the box. Red and green are the traditional colors for Korean brides. I’ll be wearing this for the latter half of my second reception.

At approximately, 9pm last night, Cinderlla found her shoes! In fact, she was never missing them to begin with…
If I were in a fairy tale, this is how my story would have ended. Ever since I found my wedding dress, I have been on the lookout for the perfect shoes. But being on a pretty tight budget, it was hard to find what I wanted and be able to afford it. At some point, I even thought about wearing anything that gave me 3+ inches in height. Afterall, my feet/shoes would be hidden underneath my dress and nobody would ever notice what I’d be wearing. But then, I thought about the shoes I wear in my office…
Say hello to my comfy, lime green, office slippers:

I’ll be home in Atlanta for Christmas and it would be a perfect time to do my hair and makeup trial for the wedding. But to be completely honest, until recently when a friend of mine got married, I never knew that people had trials for their wedding hair/makeup! Which brings me to my dilemma… should I even have one?
When my mom talked with a hair salon a few months ago about a hair/makeup trail for the wedding, the woman had no idea what she was talking about! Maybe it’s because she’s a first generation Korean woman since my mom didn’t know either - my mom just asked because I told her to ask about it. So yeah, I’m not sure what to do.
Our family (well the women - me, mom, and two sisters) have been going to this lady for about 10 years now, so it was natural for me to decide to get my hair and done there for my wedding. Do I just explain to her what a trial is, tell her I want one, and offer her a price? Or just go without having one? It’s not like I want anything extravagant done to my hair - I’m opting for a pretty simple bun. If anything, I’m concerned about the makeup. I mean, I don’t mean to offend Asians, because I am one, buuutttt do you sometimes notice how they love to cake on the makeup? ESPECIALLY for special occasions?
So yeah I’m curious… are you having a hair and/or makeup trial(s) for the wedding? Was it included in your original package or did you have to pay extra for it? Do you think it was worth it? Any other insightful/interesting comments/thoughts?
Mr. Peach and I finally got around to looking around for tuxes for him and his groomsmen. Now, I know how Mr. Peach felt when I used to show him millions of dress pictures and asked which styles he liked and disliked. After awhile, he said “I don’t know anymore… They all kinda look the same!”
This is how I felt about the tuxes - they were all black, with pockets, and buttons…I couldn’t really tell the difference between theTommy Hilfiger tux and the Kenneth Cole tux or any other one for that matter. If anything, the biggest difference that stood out to me was the number of buttons on the tuxes. Mr. Peach says he likes the 3 button one the best, but could go either 2 or 3. I am not sure if I like the 3 button one b/c it hides the vests the most, and at least for the groomsmen, I’d like to see the green color vest underneath their tuxes. But is it weird to have the groom and groomsmen wear different buttoned tuxes?
For your wedding, did/will your groom have 1, 2, or 3 buttons on his tux? Was there a particular reason why you/your groom made that choice? How about for the groomsmen’s tuxes?
