My first attempt at working with our pictures and trying to capture a little video turned out just ok. I played around with it some more and after a couple days this is what I came up with. I used a program that comes free with any apple computer called iMovie. It’s so simple, literally drag and drop, tweak and done!
So what do you think?
Feel like you were at my wedding? Hope so!
I put together a little video of pictures from getting ready to the end of the ceremony. It’s my first attempt at making a music video so bear with me.
Hope everyone had a great labor day! I’ll make some more with pictures from the rest of the evening
Photos are from our photographer, friends and family.

We finally know where we’re going and I have to say that I’m very excited about it. We’re heading over to Los Cabos, Mexico to an all inclusive resort. We don’t have to worry about food, drinks (alcoholic or non), water activities and they gave us the honeymoon suite.. our room has a balcony facing two infinity pools which also face the ocean!!!!! Kind of like this view here:

A friend of mine sent me to a website of his friend who recently got married, and I was instantly in love! Their wedding was like Cinderella! I noticed their videos most of all since they were quite beautiful, and I asked the bride if she would like to share her most special day with our weddingbee readers. She was more than happy to share it with us! Congratulations Amy and Alex!

“Make an elegant invitation statement without the fuss. Stylish invitation sets with matching envelopes, reception and response cards included.”
Well Mr. Poppy and I were supposed to take our honeymoon in December to Thailand, then stop by Hong Kong for another Chinese banquet. But his work needs him, and so we’re taking a honeymoon during late October. We both decided that we’ll do a formal Chinese banquet in Hong Kong next year and we’ll just enjoy a honeymoon that isn’t as far as Thailand.
So now we’re debating about where to go. We’ve already been to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and loved it, but we’re not sure if we want to go around that area again even though the weather isn’t too shabby in October. We looked at Barbados, Costa Rica and saw many all inclusive packages via Apple Vacations. We used them for our Dominican Republic trip and loved them. We’re also debating about cruises that leave from NYC.
We don’t have much time to plan this and we’re even considering Hawaii. Do you know of any great vacationing/honeymooning spots in late October? We could use all the advice we can get. ![]()
This little package of RIT dye is all I needed to dye my lovely snow white crinoline blue! The instructions are there on the package and I literally followed it step by step for the washing machine.

- Fill your washing machine with hot water, add predissolved dye and 1 tablespoon of detergent.
- Soak your crinoline in warm water. I did mine in the bathtub.
- Follow the rest of the directions from then on!

As soon as the wedding was over, we went to our nearby Papyrus and ordered an address embosser from them. We ended up choosing a design that has an “L” (for our last name); our last name is on top and our address is circled around the letter. It’s a nice added finish to the envelopes that have our thank you cards snuggled inside. I wish I could take a picture of it, but sadly I am not talented enough to take a nice picture. Read more…
We’ve decided to go to Thailand for our honeymoon and spend a couple days in Hong Kong and have another Chinese banquet.
So excited.

Now all I’m waiting for is our marriage license to come back so I can change all my documents: driver’s license, passport and CCs. Oh… and we have to plan Thailand out hehe.
Any tips?
Mr. Poppy and I are still recovering from our wedding
but I thought a review was in order!
Dress: David’s Bridal - Oleg Cassini
Grade: A
I can’t complain too much about my dress. I tried it on, got alterations and that was pretty much it. I loved my dress and loved the bustle that David’s provided. Even though I heard horror stories about DB, thankfully I didn’t experience any of it.
Here we are again talking about my awesome bridal shower
. The theme for the shower was “Honeymoon at Home” and I have to say that I received some really awesome and funny gifts: lover’s die (I got two!), massage oils, bath oils/bubbles, flower petals for the bath, chocolates, champagne and glasses, wine, face masks, photo album and of course lingerie! But when I opened gifts in front of my mom and sister that happened to be: chocolate body paint, edible bra and undies (for her and him)… I turned so red! The best part was when my mom asked “Oh? Paint what?” ![]()
After eating some more, the girls quizzed me on Mr. Poppy. There were a lot of questions but thankfully I got most of them right. They also had everyone put the number they thought I’d get right on a piece of paper, and whoever guessed the right number won a beautiful lavender robe from Bath and Body Works. One of the most memorable questions was: “If Mr. Poppy were to live in any century, which one would it be and what would he do?” Everyone in the room had this expression on their face
, and I guessed 18th century and a explorer. Turns out, I got it right and everyone was amazed. But once I knew 18th century was correct - what else was there to do then? ![]()
Before I even start about what fun I had, I must thank my wonderful bridesmaids: Sami, Angela, Meli, In Young and Alyssa. These ladies threw me the most amazing shower and b-party a bride could ever receive. It all started when they flew in Friday and kicked me out of my own living room to plan the last details together as they got to know each other!
The decorations were provided by the local party store: streamers, balloons, tissue paper, ribbons and candies in glass vases. Everyone that attended the bridal shower complimented how beautifully they transformed our living room!

This an exciting weekend for me because all of my wonderful bridesmaids (except one
) are coming in for a weekend of food, fun and an 80’s night. No one’s telling me what’s going to happen, but I’ve already been told that I’ll be kicked out of the room when all the bridesmaids arrive tonight so they can discuss what plans will be.
I do know that tomorrow night is going to be food, karaoke and a lot of dancing… to 80s music! I believe we’re going to a 80’s dance club, I can’t wait! I LOVE the 80’s! So I will definitely update with pictures and stories once the weekend is over, but I’d thought I’d share with weddingbee the things the girls have done so far.
As far as the shower - my sister (MOH) and my best friend from high school are already baking as we speak. We have on the menu: creme puffs (yes homemade), truffle brownies, white cake with strawberry frosting in heart shaped individual cups, chocolate molten cakes, lots of candies in glass jars with ribbons tied around them, and japanese snackies. My mom is cooking korean food: mandoo (dumplings), japchae (noodles w/veg and meat), kimbap (korean sushi), teriyaki chicken wings and I forget what else. But the cutest part of all is - they’re all in my kitchen right now and I hear them talking and sometimes whispering. ![]()
My friend Sydney (who’s dating one of our groomsmen) is the absolute best! She went back to Korea to visit her family and guess what she does for me? She goes and buys me a hanbok (Korean dress) so I can wear it at the reception! It’s so pretty and I can’t wait to put it on!!!
note: colours are brighter in person ![]()
