I found this vintage miniature chair on the Farm Chicks blog and thought it was such an awesome idea for a wedding. You could use tons of vintage dollhouse chairs as place cards. Like these:

And slip one of these babies on?
I stumbled across this fun idea via Lovely Package. It’s a wedding invitation in a can! How genius! You tie the can to the back of the getaway car— it’s totally brilliant! It makes me want to start stockpiling Campbell’s Soup. What’s that? I’m already married? Small detail.
I’m in love. A friend of mine is planning her outdoor wedding and seriously just about died at the thought of these fabulous details, all from Miss Pickles Press. Check out the wedding that used these fab details, as well!
Hey Seattle Brides! We are doing this at my work and thought some of you local ladies might be interested. It should be fun and not too crazy!

I’m not sure what the odds are of having a successful marriage when you forget your first year anniversary… probably not very high? I completely forgot. Mr. Strawberry wasn’t mad though, as he forgot too. Maybe that makes us a perfect match! We decided to celebrate our one year on Thursday by eating our cake. It was surprisingly quite excellent after being banished to the freezer for over a year.
Not much to report on the newlywed front. We bought our first house. Got our first dog. We’re thinking about kids in the distant future and I made a big change in the hair department.
Mr.Strawberry calls me the dark princess. So, if anyone needs a seance performed–I’m your girl.
Anyone else forget an important anniversary?

The last wedding I coordinated was hands down the most fun wedding I ever had the privilege of being a part of. The bride and groom were a hoot. They have excellent taste and the photographer, Yvonne Wong, is uber talented and captured the mood of the night. (Sidenote: She did our engagement pics that I adore more than our wedding pictures.)
Pravda Studios is a blank space that they completely transformed with lanterns and lots of candlelight. They were pretty ambitious with the fabric draping—but in the end, it looked fantastic.

Mr. Strawberry was recently talking with his friend Andy and his fiancee about their upcoming wedding and whether or not they were nervous or not. They both agreed they were not, but made a point that it was going to be nothing like our wedding. Mr. Strawberry was a bit confused by this statement. The bride continued by saying that there wouldn’t be any birds at her wedding. WTF!? Was she making a jab at OUR wedding!?

When you’re a bride, you get a certain vision in your heard as to what the big day is going to look like. I was going for shabby chic–all things light and vintage looking. I was a little disappointed in the bright pink flowers on my bouquet and the weird looking birds on our wedding cake. But it didn’t ruin the day and no one else was the wiser. Linda’s story is a little different. She wanted her wedding cake to look like this:

Instead she got this:

Especially when the guests include Mrs. Snow Pea, Mrs. Butterscotch, Miss Cherry Pie and myself. We’re all getting together this Sunday, in Bellevue at The Cheesecake Factory–10am sharp! If you are in the area and can drag yourself out of bed, we’d love to see you! I’m already planning which flavor cheesecake I’m going to shove into my mouth. That’s normal right? To plan what you are going to eat at a meal that is over 3 days away? Totally normal.
