Let me introduce you to Trophy Cupcakes – quite possibly the most wonderful place on earth. I’ve decided to use them for my miniature cupcake favors. With flavors like chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, triple chocolate, carrot, chai spice, peanut butter and jelly, jasmine green tea, and lemon meringue how could you not fall in love with these little darlings? While the flavors are quite delicious, it was the vintage charm that I fell in love with. Cake toppers, cake plates, and other vintage decorations are for sale and it took everything I had not to max out my credit card.
I had visions of romantic lace lingerie for my wedding day. Something soft and feminine with a vintage touch. I fell in love with the romance collection from Spoylt when Weddingbee was giving away some of their goods. But now that I have stopped to think–I realize that satin and lace will do nothing for my protruding gut and thunder thighs. Nay.
Many bees have blogged about the magical and mystical powers of Spanx. They will definitely do the trick. However, I’d rather Mr. Strawberry not be confronted with my stuffed sausage appearance on our first night as husband and wife. I mean you really have to work to get into those babies. Not exactly a turn on.
What’s a girl to do? Any words of advice?

I picked up my wedding dress at lunch today. I’m tempted to put it on while I work. Seriously. Maybe do a little light filing? I’ll definitely answer the door when the ups guy comes.
Heavens to Betsy. I just about had an aneurysm today when I opened the romanticanticflowers website. I don’t think it’s quite fair to wave pretty things in front of my face and not expect me to pull out my wallet. I have an addiction and they are undoubtedly, my dealer. Look at these cute finds!

“Add a memorable touch to your wedding with unique favors that match your theme.”
I’m considering entering myself into a rehab facility for my wedding addiction(s). Plural.
There’s my extensive wedding magazine collection that I have procured from Barnes and Noble and back issues of Martha from eBay. I have dog-eared pages, highlighted articles, and in some cases–taken notes in the margins. I’ve also implemented a Dewey Decimal System of sorts…
I should also mention my obsession with anything and everything pink and brown. Do I need a pink and brown tampon cozy? The answer is no. A resounding no. Oh and yes, they do make tampon cozies.
But my biggest addiction is to packaging. It began with collecting toilet paper rolls to make confetti poppers for guests to throw as we leave the ceremony. And then..it spiraled out of control. Let’s just say that my mini cupcakes will find themselves in 6 separate containers, for each of the 6 different flavors we’re having, displayed in 6 different, yet clever ways that I have yet to come up with. That’s what I have. I finally found a pair of wedding shoes. I was browsing through the knot’s new bridal accessory gallery, and I stumbled upon these babies. Upon further research, I found out that they were from Kate Spade, and a whopping $235. Danger. Fortunately, I have a black belt in eBay. And what did I find? A monster of a deal. $79.99–New in Box. Hell to the yes.

Oh happy day, my invites have finally arrived! Ilee did a marvelous job! They are so perfectly pink and delicate–I adore them. I might just sleep with them under my pillow. Pardon the horrible quality pictures–they truly are lovely up close and personal!
I love the polka dot envelope lining!
The good folks at Brides.com have a nifty new tool that will help you build your dream cake. You could choose the base color of the cake, decorate it, and even add a topper. Just a little fun to help you with the big picture! ![]()
I’m not a big fan of aisle runners. To each their own–just not for me. Instead, I’m going the petal route. There is a long driveway to the church and I’m planning on hauling in a couple of tons of rose petals to cover every inch of the asphalt. Very romantic.
That I stole. There I said it. I’m an idea thief. You caught me.
As a matter of fact, I’ve stolen most of my wedding ideas. My confetti poppers come from the brilliant mind of my florist, my bouquet right off the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings, and my lantern centerpieces were the brainchild of knottie NetterB.
My latest idea comes in the form of soda-pop. I’m not a big drinker, so this is right up my alley. Knotties Mrs. Donkey and PDXDFWbride both had mini soda bars and one of my clients/weddingbee reader, wsukarebear, tossed around the idea of having one as well.

I’m not a big fan of Carmen Electra–however, the girl has great hair. Her wedding day look is my inspiration. I’ve been on the hunt for combs and barrettes that resemble the bow she wore.

Leave it to Mr. Strawberry’s groomsmen to point out the obvious. Our new monogram sounds and looks like sh*t! Oops. I already have the logo on our well wish cards and they will be on our cake. I should probably be offended and horrified. I’m not. I think it’s totally us!
(I guess that doesn’t say a whole lot!)

I’ve been tinkering with the fonts and colors for the programs. What do you think? Do they look funny together? I hope not, cause I love both fonts dearly and would have a hard time parting with either! This is the font page–the cover will be chocolate brown with a cutout on the front to let the birds at the bottom peek through.
I knew that once I bought my wedding dress that I could never set foot into another bridal salon. I knew it would also be wise not to look at any dresses in magazines or store fronts for that matter. I didn’t apply that rule to any other aspect of my wedding. I made the mistake of looking at the Jim Hjelm website today, specifically at the bridesmaid dresses. It doesn’t hurt to look, right? Wrong. I adore them all. I want them all.
It is very easy to get wrapped up in all the hoopla that surrounds weddings. You begin to believe that you NEED a custom aisle runner, elaborate centerpieces, and letterpressed wedding programs. In truth, you don’t. You know you don’t. You really can have a wonderful ceremony and a fun reception without breaking the bank. I recently coordinated a wedding that proved just that. Meet Christina and Michael.
