Nov 21: Wed
I went to bed at 1:30am and had to get up at 4am. Our flight was at 6:30am. Man, all I can say was that we was tired as a mofo. For reals son. We got to LA at 11am.
Ok honestly, and don’t get mad but LA was whack. Hahaha What?! Who said “You’re whack!” I heard you ya big hooch in the back! I’ve been to LA before to visit family so it’s not like I’m basing this comment on one trip. I wasn’t like wowed. I remember the first few times I went to NY I was wowed. I was wowed when I went to San Francisco. I will say that I was impressed by Koreatown in LA though. That place is huge. Where do we eat? Which Korean restaurant? Omigod there’s so many to pick from! What to do, what to do?! And I also loved the really tall palm trees. They reminded me of Dr. Seuss like trees. No?

The honeymoon was excellent! I was white, then I was red, then I was cut up and scratched up and banged up, and then my red turned to blisters, and now I look like a peeling brown leper. Then I was constipated, and then I was fartipated (lucky hubs), and then I was poopipated, and then after that I felt so emancipated. Hahaha….shut up.
Haha sounds bad huh? At least I didn’t get stung by a bee like the husband. Oh the stories I have to tell of our battle wounds…
Pictures to come my pretties!

Our honeymoon is set! Woohoo! We leave the day before Thanksgiving.
Nov 22nd-24th: Los Angeles, CA
We’ll be spending some time in Garden Grove & San Bernadino with family for the holiday and then….

You can download the templates off of the Paper-Source site. I love that you can personalize it with a photo. I so would have done these for our wedding had I known!

I was trying to take advantage of the discount MyPublisher had going for a while now (ended yesterday). So the final price was 96 bucks and some change, but after the discount it came out to 72 bucks. Woohoo! Only pain in the ass thing is that it took 2 hours to upload all my photos! BOO!
Oh and remember the color enhancements I wrote about? Well don’t do them in Photoshop. If you do, they don’t let you load the photos on to My Publisher. I used Picasa and adjusted the colors in there - to enhance the colors use the “saturation” button.
Here’s a sneak preview of the cover and just a few of the pages. And fyi, I enhanced the colors in all the photos. I love the way they turned out! I’ll let you know what I think once I get the album for those of you who are planning on take this route.

As you know I’m working on creating a MyPublisher album. However there’s a lot of photos I’m editing. After looking at some of the Something In Blue photos, I’ve become obsessed with color enhancements! So here’s something I was playing around with. These were my bridesmaid dresses hanging on the armoire.
Before

No I did not die and fall off the face of the earth! Punks. Hey! Did I just hear someone in the back say “Doh!”? Shut it you!
I’ve actually been really busy lately.
We finally decided on a honeymoon destination, and I’m going through all my photos so I can publish a wedding album on My Publisher, and I’ve been helping a friend come up with ideas for her spring wedding. Busy, busy, busy I is.
I have lots to write about on Weddingbee though so stay tuned! I’ll probably do one of my Power-Sit-Downs and write 6 entries at once. Then I’ll end up being MIA for another week. It’s weird. I’ve gotten emails from readers asking me when I was going to write another entry. Losers! Don’t you have anything better to do than to wait for me to write about something? I kid, I joke, I joke!!!
I was totally kidding. It’s nice to feel wanted by losers who are SUPPOSED to be working at work! Sike I joke again! I joke, for real! I kid!!!
Miss me cause I miss yous!
I used these tea bags and tea trays as my wedding favor. Tea Forte has come out with more color choices for the tea trays! Yay! I love the terra cotta colored one!

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything. They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.
For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said she would not recover. In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife’s bedside.
She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000.
He asked her about the contents. “When we were to be married,” she said, “my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.” The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry with him two times in all those years of living and loving. He almost burst with happiness. “Honey,” he said, “that explains the doll, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?”
“Oh,” she said, “that’s the money I made from selling the dolls.”
Our good friends Carmen & Vaish got married 2 years ago in September. They had the ceremony and reception at Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City and actually had 2 ceremonies - one Indian and one American, and they also had the Chinese Tea Ceremony in the morning.
This isn’t wedding related but they have a dog named Nigel. Why Nigel you ask? Because Vaish wanted to name his future son Nigel and Carmen said “OH HELLZ NO!” So instead this sad little dog got stuck with this name. Carmen you’re smartly. If you named your kid Nigel I think I would even have to make fun of him.
Happy 2 year anniversary you crazy kids you!
Question:
Please research centerpiece bowls!!! Need cheap bowls that aren’t too low to float candles and flowers in. Found some nice ones from IKEA but they are too low to the table…FI wants them to have a llittle more height without giving up our first born. ~ Lissa
The first bowl shown is the one that Lissa was talking about. It’s about $7 dollars at Ikea. She’s going to have about 10 tables and 1 bowl per table. $70 bucks for 10 bowls? You really can’t beat that price. I will try to keep it low and throw in some other nice ones that I found. Just for you! Then I’m going to bill your ass a million dollars for my service. Just kidding. I wouldn’t do that. Instead I will steal your first born if you don’t name him/her after me.

Question:
Color themes for Fall! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~ MRC Bride

*Le sigh*
I wish I had a fall wedding. I love autumn. It’s my favorite season and it’s too friggin short man. Why God why?!
We have a big yard at my mom’s house and we used to rake all the time. I don’t mind the first rake of the season, but after that my mom would yell at us to do it. Our front yard looked like an Asian refugee camp with 6 women raking in sweats with no make up on. Hahaha…. I’m day dreaming and you can’t stop me.
Ok fine you can.
So fall color themes! Wow what a great topic! You can really do anything! So many choices! Browns, greens, oranges, yellows, reds…. sooo many to pick from. You can incorporate vegetables, lanterns, pinecones, and even acorns. I also remember seeing a photo of mini pumpkins and gourds spray painted lightly with gold which was nice.
I used green, brown, and creams for our spring wedding which you could also use for a fall wedding. Here are some Bio’s that I found on The Knot to give you some visual inspiration.

Question:
Where is a good place to find a diagram of how to measure for bridesmaid’s dresses? I want to include one in my bridesmaids newsletter but all the ones I’ve found have been rather blah. ~Elizabeth
I found this on Best Bridal Prices. (click and mouse over bottom right corner to enlarge)
Question:
I need bridal shower games/ themes. Something different other than the ones we would find by googling. ~ Lynn
Excellent question! I think the most popular game is the toilet paper wedding dress. When my sister had her bridal shower, all my sisters and I were on separate teams and my mother was the judge. When it came time to picking the winning team we were all yelling out “Who’s your favorite mom!?” “Mom! Don’t forget who goes with you to your doctor appointments!” “Who got you the gift certificate at Talbots mom?!”"Mom who bought you that outfit you’re wearing?! Pick me! Pick me!” Haha… She didn’t pick my team so I took back her gift certificate from Talbots. Just kidding.
::Pass The Parsnip::
One of the games that we played that day was Pass the Parsnip. Omigod, that game was so funny. We were all cracking up. We had 4 teams and each team had a parsnip. When the music played you had to pass the parsnip around but only using your knees. Each time the music stopped they cut off an inch of the parsnip. The reason it was so funny was because each time the parsnip got cut down shorter, it got harder to hold with your knees so it got to the point where we were all groping each other just to get a good grip. The last team standing who didn’t drop the parsnip earned a gift. If you can’t find parsnips then pick a vegetable that’s long and thick……*dirty laugh* No not your vibrator! Omigod that would be so funny! Pass the Vibrator hahahaha with it on! Hahaha…. Ok I have a dirty mind we all know that by now! It’s no secret!
