The morning after my bachelorette was a blur of activity. I woke up bright and early, both excited and nervous about all that had to be done prior to the rehearsal dinner that night. I had crafted schedules to help organize myself and the people who were generous enough to help us. In the quiet of the early morning I crept downstairs to finish gathering supplies and materials.
I also pondered how long it had been since I had seen the surface of our dining room table…and floor…and the kitchen table…and the entry wall floor. It’s amazing how much STUFF you collect when planning a wedding. As I was putting an emergency box together (full of glue sticks, extra paper, safety pins, extra craft materials, paint, and anything else we might need), MOH R came downstairs. Shortly after, BM C came over with Starbucks (my hero!) and collected my groom to be so they could gather libations for the wedding. MOH M showed up arrived and got us all on track.
After loading THREE cars FULL to the brim with all our wedding stuff we were ready to hit the road. As I backed out of Wilson’s driveway (yes, we named our house Wilson) it dawned on me that the next time I pulled back in I would be MRS. Orchard. It was a random and small thing that triggered such excitement, but I couldn’t help myself. I was giddy.
