A few months before our wedding, I *might* have mentioned under my breath (which might have also been ridden with alcohol) that my engagement ring would look even more perfect flanked by not just one band, but two. Yep, I was that girl that asked for it all up front.

We began our registry over 15 months ago at Williams-Sonoma; fought our way through registering at Crate and Barrel; and jumped for joy when we found some common interests at Bloomingdale’s.

Eek. It’s been almost a month since my last recap. I have to admit, I’ve been avoiding this recap. It was the end of the night, we just finished cutting the “cake”, and it was time for the Best Man’s and Papa Peep’s speeches.

Best Man J was with us when we met and has been Mr. Peep’s friend for almost 30 years!!

So obviously, he means…

Our reception felt like a whirlwind. I can say I enjoyed every moment, but the moments went by WAY too quickly. I also so wish I could show you pictures of the food, but no can do. I will say that it was amazing, and our friends are still talking about it.

Before I dive into the reception, let’s put some music to the party to…

After our ridiculously fantastic entrance, we walked straight onto the dance floor and had our first dance.

Our first song was a hit; everyone loved it:

I promise the day is progressing quickly and the wedding day recaps are almost* over. But I must say, we are finally at my very very very FAVORITE part of the day - joining the party.

I was really bummed that we had to leave our cocktail party. In fact, it might be my biggest regret of the day. BUT, it did mean that I got some alone time with my new husband (that is, if you call being followed by a photographer and her assistant being alone).

After our sentimental vows, the Rabbi declared us man and wife, and Mr. Peep broke the glass.

We kissed.

After sharing two glasses of wine, exchanging rings, a reading, and 7 blessings by our Peeps, it was time to read our vows.

As I stated months ago, Mr. Peep insisted that we write our own vows, which scared and challenged me. Needless to say, this personal touch was what made the day perfectly ours.
