After sharing two glasses of wine, exchanging rings, a reading, and 7 blessings by our Peeps, it was time to read our vows.
As I stated months ago, Mr. Peep insisted that we write our own vows, which scared and challenged me. Needless to say, this personal touch was what made the day perfectly ours.
Again, I’d love to add some music to this post, so please listen below, and read our vows.

When I became engaged, I found myself trying to stay afloat in a whole new pool that I had never been in before: Wedding Planning. Eek. I was totally out of my element. But with a long engagement planned, I figured I had long enough to figure this whole wedding planning thing out. It’s just like planning a super duper party, right???
Of course, I turned to the web for help and suggestions, and pretty early on, I found myself being drawn into Weddingbee. But unlike those bees who dove right in, I lurked and lingered. I ate up all the posts, but very rarely commented.
At about nine months before the wedding, Mr. Peep started school four nights a week and I felt like I had all of these questions and decisions to make and no one to really bounce ideas off of. Sure, my family is super supportive, but I didn’t think anyone could love me enough to listen to my own personal drama associated with everything wedding.
I also started to really relate to a few of the new bees in the hive and I became a bit jealous that they got picked to tell their story… yep, Snappy, Powder Puff, Taffy, Meatball - I am talking about you! Read more…

When we decided that we were going to have a Interfaith-Jewish wedding, there were a lot of Jewish traditions that were new and intriguing to me. For one, the Ketubah signing.
I am far from the firstBee to post about this 2000 year old tradition, but for a little background, I found this link and this link helpful. To sum it up, back in the day, the contract was used to protect the wife, to ensure that she was to be provided with basic life necessities and to solidify her dowry.
For us, we used the Ketubah as a way to document our love in a contract, so we could hang in our home as a reminder of our love and commitment to one another. It doesn’t hurt that Ketubot are beautiful works of art, and today there are a lot of options out there for more modern, less traditional, interfaith couples.
So, about 30 minutes before the wedding, we gathered our family and wedding party in the Hospitality Room to witness the signing and sealing of our marriage. Since the pictures speak for themselves, I’ve included the text that we chose for our interfaith Ketubah:

I am going to make this one short on words but full of portraits. They may not be that exciting to you, but these are our Peeps, so they deserve some attention.
We started off in the lobby of the fabulous Hotel Vitale with the bridal party:

The first look was the part of the day that I was most looking forward to, but in reality, it ended up just being a quick moment for the two of us to reconnect for the day.
I tried to stay calm.
But in reality I was trying not to burst at the seams: Read more…

While getting all prettified at the salon was super spectacular, we were late. I couldn’t believe that my meticulously planned timeline was already off.
And getting stuck in traffic, a few blocks from the hotel no less, really threw me off. I wish I could say that I was a zen bride that let it roll off my back, but yo, we were late and in traffic. No bueno.
Thankfully, after hoofing it the last few blocks to the hotel, our rockin’ vendors were already ten steps ahead of me. The flowers had been delivered and the photographer was already in the room capturing some amazingly awesome detail shots. So while I was trying not to freak out, the details shots made everything look like perfection!!
Without further ado, pre-wedding details.
Talk about a magazine worthy photo of my fabulous peep toe sandals, which I comfortably wore all night:

The morning after the Rehearsal Dinner, I woke up early and thought to myself, ‘Game. On.’
It’s FINALLY our wedding day!! Wootwoot!!
To my bridesmaids’ chagrin, right around 6:30AM, I declared the day officially started and jumped out of bed. Sensing my nervous energy (really, I wasn’t hiding it), Sister Peep suggested a trip for coffee and treats at the Ferry Building’s Saturday Farmers’ Market.
Seeing as that is one of my absolute favorite things to do, I bounded out of the hotel with her to pick up some amazingly appetizing treats. For the first (and most likely last) time in my life, we were at the Farmers Market before the stands even opened. I loved doing one of my favorite things, in my favorite city, and watching everything come alive. A perfect way to start an unforgettable day.
So, my love for the Ferry Building’s Farmers’ Market and San Francisco is not really what this post is about, but I had to provide you with a sense of how I started my wedding day. And even Anthony Bourdain loved the farmers market,so I’m just sayin’- it’s awesome.
Back to the wedding day—at the much more reasonable time of 10AM—when the Peep Gang headed to OxenRose to get our hair and makeup styled and profiled.
I hope my ladies don’t hate me, but here we are starting the day, sans makeup and hair: Read more…

My one regret about the rehearsal dinner was that it was too short.
At 7:45, we jumped in a cab and headed over to the fantabulous Coco500 for our rehearsal dinner.
The restaurant was closed just for us!!

One thing I am so glad we did during our wedding weekend was taking the time to thank our loved ones.
Our rehearsal was at 4:30PM and the rehearsal dinner didn’t start until 8PM, so it gave us a chance to have some sparkling wine delivered to the Terrace (made by Mr. Peep, no less):
