4 months later and with too much time on my hands, I have been “doubting” my wedding choices. Ridiculous, right? It’s not as though I can go back in time and redo it or change it. After looking at my own photos for weeks now and then seeing all these new brides with their GORGEOUS weddings, I began to doubt my own choices. Don’t get me wrong. I love our wedding and appreciate every bit. But we had a very different wedding from what we originally intended, which was an outdoor garden ceremony and tented reception. I can’t help but feel a slight pang everytime I see a lovely natural outdoor reception.
Did you have the post-wedding blues? Did you see something that made you wish you had done something differently?
After 3 long months, I finally got my wedding band. The first time around wasn’t the band I asked for, so we returned it to the jeweler for something else. He was still having a hard timing making what I wanted, so finally I opted for a simple eternity band and it’s perfect. I was getting quite annoyed and antsy not having a wedding band on. People kept asking if I was married yet and why I didn’t have my band on. With holiday parties coming up, I just wanted a ring already!

I know. I know. Long time no blog. I had so many pictures to go through since last time, that I didn’t know which to choose to blog first. So I thought I would start with everyone’s favorite… the Details! I am a big fan of details, so I was really glad that our wedding photographer Henry caught all of them without me having to ask him. It was perfect!

Do you remember that scene in The Joy Luck Club where Waverly’s mom is walking down the streets of Chinatown holding up a magazine with her on the cover? I remember watching that movie and thinking, that’s my mom! So when Mrs. Bell Pepper showed me her mini photobooks from Qoop, I thought they would be a great thing for my mom.

They can fit snuggly in your purse and without whipping out your entire wedding album, you can show family and friends a quick preview of your wedding photos. Right now, through Flickr, Qoops is offering 20% off all their products. The shipping is rather costly, so for anyone planning to make albums for family before the holidays, I would order them very soon and ship them via “media mail” (7-15 days).

2 words. SO HUNGOVER.
My girlfriends in Philly took me out last night for the bachelorette party I was supposed to have. It was so much fun and I totally recommend having a “bachelorette” party AFTER the wedding. We didn’t talk about the wedding one bit and it felt so darn good! All night, we’d joke, “This is my last night out! Drink!” It was just what I needed after a long semester at school and this being the start of Thanksgiving break, it was so perfect. But the best part of the night was when Mr. Snow Pea came to join us. It was so touching and sweet!
Have you had post-wedding get togethers?
Threadless is having their $10 T-shirt sale. I’ve been waiting for one of these. I wanted to get something coordinating for me and Mr. Snow Pea. Yah, he actually likes funny tees.

Ends December 16th! And from Miss Toucan, you can use the code COUPONITDOTCOM for an additional $3 off!
On Saturday, I hosted my first scrapbooking get-together. It was my first party as a newlywed, so I was really excited. Rarely do I get the chance to have all my girlfriends over, so I like to cook them something special. Maybe in a few years and when I have some peas of my own, I won’t feel this way anymore.
It was a real success - I had a great turn out and everyone worked on their own scrapbooks. Anyone who didn’t scrapbook just organized photos and made some cards of their children or nieces/nephews. I continued to work on my many Thank You and Christmas cards. My BM Lambchop brought me back some things too. She’s so talented! I should really stop calling her my BM. The wedding is over Snow Pea! I need to let go!

Xanga pal and avid weddingbee reader Shortcake2675 made these cute bride and groom Christmas ornaments for friends of hers who got married. What a sweet and thoughtful gift. I love personalized gifts such as these because each year, you can look back on them and think of your dear friends.

Here are some more photos of the bee meet up in NYC. It was a freezing cold day which was perfect for some good soup. Mr. Snow Pea and I had a great time and although some of us have never met, it feels like we know all about one another already. It was hard calling one another by our real names since we’re so used to referring to one another by our icons. It was also delightful to meet all the Mr. Bees and hear what they thought of our “other life” in the blogging world.
