I am so excited to share the news that Mr. Spring Roll and I have booked our honeymoon to London and Paris; a very generous wedding gift from FMIL and FFIL Spring Roll. Thanks to everyone’s advice, we purchased Rick Steve’s London and Paris 2008. Using the books and advice, we booked our honeymoon without a travel agent. Mr. Spring Roll and I will depart on March 24th and arrive back on April 1st.
In London, we will be staying at the K+K Hotel George. The hotel has a beautiful private garden, is located next to the underground station, has free high speed internet, and most importantly (to me) has private bathrooms.

If that is the case, then Mr. Spring Roll and I will have 324,000 words from our guests. We are placing a disposable camera at each of our twelve guest tables. A card will be laid next to the camera, explaining that the guests should take photos, and pass the camera around. When the 27 exposures are finished, the guests will be asked to place the camera in a return basket. Sister Spring Roll used this idea at her wedding and it was a huge hit; it also made for some great photos.

As you may recall, I was extremely confused, and quite frankly, scared when it came to choosing tuxedos. Last week, Mr. Spring Roll and his groomsmen had an appointment at The Men’s Wearhouse. Mr. Spring Roll wanted me to choose the tuxedos, so sister Spring Roll and I joined the guys. Surprisingly, choosing tuxedos ended up being one of the easiest choices we made for our wedding. Sister Spring Roll and I browsed a catalog, found a tuxedo we liked, and simply matched the vest and tie color to the bridesmaids’ dresses.

When Mr. Spring Roll and I were first engaged, sister Spring Roll and I began browsing bridesmaid’s dresses online. We fell in love with a long, rounded neck chiffon dress from David’s Bridal. I immediately emailed my FSIL with all the details. My FSIL lives in North Carolina, so we have been planning via e-mail.

With our wedding fast approaching, Mr. Spring Roll and I decided to take a mini vacation to get away one last time before we are wed. Living in Florida is fantastic, as we are only an hour or so away from Orlando. We travel to Orlando several times a year for mini vacations, and did so this past week. Whenever we visit Orlando, we stay at a wonderful resort, Westgate Lakes. The price is right and the rooms are fantastic.

Yesterday was a big day for Mr. Spring Roll and me. No, we didn’t elope. We opened our first joint bank account. Sister Spring Roll works as a Personal Finance Representative at WaMu. Needless to say, we visited her branch for our big day.

One of the first vendors that Mr. Spring Roll and I booked was our DJ. I absolutely love to dance, if you can call it that. I tend to throw my arms all over, and jump around. Regardless of my moves, I plan to dance the majority of our wedding reception. Therefore, good music is crucial. Our DJ has asked us to provide a list of ‘must play’, as well as ‘do not play’ songs.

Since becoming engaged, I have been nonstop planning, DIYing, purchasing, and researching for our wedding. Not one day has gone by that I didn’t do something for our wedding. After seeing the cover of Bride’s Magazine a few months ago, I fell in love with the concept of wearing brightly colored shoes underneath my wedding dress. Pink to be exact.
While trying on dresses, I was instructed to choose a pair of heels to wear. This would give me an idea of what heel height I liked for the chosen dress. I chose a pair of ivory, silk, peep toe heels with rhinestone ornaments. After nearly two hours in them, my feet and I fell in love. They were the most comfortable heels I had ever worn.

For the past week I have been staring at the leftover fabric from our ring bearer pillow. Unsure of what to do with the fabric, I visited Martha’s site for inspiration. Immediately after seeing her DIY bouquet cuffs, I began sewing. I sewed three cuffs: one for myself, sister Spring Roll, and FSIL Spring Roll.
