We now have over 400 articles in the wiki, and it continues to grow daily! Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed!
Today’s wiki of the day is wedding planner. Hiring our wedding planner, In Any Event, was definitely one of the best decisions we made in the planning process. You can check out the wiki article we created on them here:
Do you have an amazing wedding planner you’d like to share with the hive? Over the weekend, we added a new template, so it’s super easy for you to create a wiki article for your wedding planner here. ![]()
PS - Anyone who creates or edits a wiki article will be eligible to win a copy of the Bride’s Book of Etiquette!
We’ve done venues, photographers, makeup artists, and hair stylists as our wikis of the day. Today we’re going to focus on florists!
Mr. Bee and I used Belle Fleur for our wedding, and we absolutely loved working with them.
Please share your florist with the world by creating a wiki article for them! ![]()

First congratulations to wiki contributor Reilabird who won a t-shirt from the weddingbee gear store. Remember the more articles you write or edit, the better your chances of winning!
We have over 300 articles in the wiki now, and we’re growing every day thanks to your contributions!
We’ve already asked you to add your venue and photographer to the weddingbee wiki. Today we’d like to focus on makeup artists and hair stylists. Check out these wiki articles on New York based makeup artist Laura Nadeau and hair stylist Stacy Pitt:
Makeup artist and hair stylist referrals are one of the most popular topics we see here on the weddingbee boards.
So please help us and fellow brides out by creating articles on your makeup artist and hair stylist — it’s easier than ever to create a wiki with our new templates! ![]()
On Monday we had you add wiki articles for your venues using our new venue template.
Today we’re going to focus on photographers! You can check out a couple of photographer wikis weddingbee users created here:
Please take a moment to create an entry for your wedding photographer using the link below:
We’ll be giving away weddingbee t-shirts to a couple of random wiki contributors from this past week. Remember the more pages you create or edit, the more likely you are to win! ![]()
Out of town bags are a wonderfully thoughtful way to welcome your out of town wedding guests! We included snacks, drinks, a subway map, list of things to do/sights to see, and a note in our bags. But even with more than half of our guests coming in from out of town, only one person ended up staying at the hotel where we blocked rooms (most had friends or family they could stay with in Manhattan) – so we ended up passing them out at the wedding!
Ah well… I’m sure our guests appreciated the thought.
Please share your tips and ideas for out of town bags in our wiki of the day!
Remember we’ll be selecting one random weddingbee t-shirt winner tomorrow, so the more you add to the wikis, the better your chances of winning! ![]()
Wedding gifts are always a hot topic here on weddingbee - how much you should spend, giving cash gifts, whether you can buy off registry, etc.
I have a couple of general rules I follow when it comes to wedding gifts. First, how much I spend depends on how close I am to the couple. And though I typically buy something on the couple’s registry or give a gift card (to Manhattan couples with limited space), for very close friends I have definitely have gone off registry. When it comes to family, I always gift cash since it’s the cultural norm among Asians.
What are your guidelines when it comes to giving a wedding gift? Please share by adding to our wiki of the day!
Though candy buffets are very popular, I’ve never heard of a wedding where it wasn’t a big hit!
So today’s wiki of the day is candy buffet!
Please help us fill the wiki by adding your best tips and hints for having a candy buffet at a wedding.
Remember to also add your venue to our wiki…. the more wikis you create or edit, the better your chances of winning a weddingbee t-shirt! ![]()
We’ve already created wiki articles on everything from boudoir pictures to favors to reception music. Now we’re super excited to announce vendor wikis!
Today we’re going to be focusing on venues. You can check out a couple of venue wikis we created here:
We’ve even created vendor templates, so it’s super easy for you to add vendor wikis too! We’ve added a bunch of New York venues, but we need your help with venues across the US. So please take a moment to create an entry for your wedding venue using the link below!
To make this a little more fun, anyone who creates a wiki page for a venue has a chance to win a weddingbee t-shirt of your choice! Just comment on this post when you’re done creating your venue page - the more pages you create, the better your chances of winning!
Bridal show listings were our wiki of the day on Friday, so today’s wikis of the day are sample sale listings and trunk show listings!
If you know of any upcoming sample sales or trunk shows in your area, please add them to the wiki! We’ll work together to update these listings regularly, and make it the most comprehensive and up to date resource for brides-to-bee! ![]()
Back when Weddingbee first launched and we were based only in New York, we posted all the local sample sales, trunk shows, and bridal shows. Once we went national a couple months later, we stopped posting them altogether. But with our new wiki, we’re going to bring local show and sale listings back!
We’ve started a Bridal Show Listings article here:
If you know of any upcoming bridal shows in your neck of the woods, please add it to the wiki! Once the article reaches a certain size, we’ll reorganize it into separate wiki by city. Hopefully this becomes the most up to date resource for local bridal show listings!
PS - Have a great weekend! ![]()
