Puppy Love: An Ode to My Bouquet (and to the ‘Bee)

I have already raved about my thrill at finding a venue that was exactly what we were looking for and shared my discovered love for all-things all-inclusive, so it is no surprise that I was happy with the fact that the flowers were included in our venue. What was a surprise was how amazing the flowers were! I knew that Cedarwood had a florist building on site, and had seen some of their stunning floral designs both in photos I stalked online and during our pre-wedding visits to the venue. But even though I was armed with the knowledge that they did a phenomenal job, I was still amazed at how beautiful the flowers came out. Need proof? Here you go:

As perfect as the bouquet was on its own, I knew that it needed a special touch and in my book there is nothing more special than a token of Weddingbee. So, I joined the sisterhood of the traveling bee charms, and attached the little guys (who I received from Mrs. Doily and sent on to Mrs. Mink) to my bouquet. MOH A helped me tie them on.

Now, I must make an admission here. As I mentioned, the week before our wedding was just a teensy bit stressful. Well, there was another little thing that was keeping me on my toes. Mrs. Doily had contacted me for my address a decent time before, and I knew that the bees were in the mail. But as each day passed and I returned from my excited trip to the mailbox empty handed, I grew more and more nervous. In fact, I was so nervous that I squeezed a trip to Michaels into our itinerary so that I could buy a few back-up bee charms (not the same ones, and I must say not nearly as cute). Now, it definitely would not have been the same, but I just couldn’t stand the thought of walking down the aisle without a token of this amazing community that has been such a monumental part of my wedding planning.

Well, I guess I have already given away the ending of this story since you have seen that the charms were with me on my wedding day. As it turned out, the little guys arrived in my mailbox the day before the wedding! I cannot even tell you how relieved and excited I was—let’s just say that some serious jumping up and down took place. Our amazing photographers knew how important Weddingbee was to me, so they made sure to capture the bees when they made their appearance on our big day.

I was not the only one to carry beautiful flowers down the aisle. My bridesmaids were each equipped with a slightly smaller, but equally as colorful bouquet.

I could not be happier with the amazing job of the florist team at Cedarwood. I asked them for bright and happy flowers, with lots of color (except for purple—I don’t know why but I am just not a purple girl), and a little pop of those irresistible billy balls. They not only met, but exceeded, my expectations.

I also could not be happier that the bees arrived in time to walk with me down the aisle as a happy reminder of all of the support, advise and love that the bees and the hive have brought me.

Did you have any meaningful tokens with you on your wedding day?

What kind of bouquet did you have?

Those flowers are definitely stunning: how cool to have them as part of your all-inclusive package! And so great to get the bee charms just in the nick of time: they really complete the look!

You don’t know how excited I was to get them from you.

The bees were mentioned at almost every meeting I had. The bees were getting on the bouquet? The bees would be photographed? The bees would get packed safely to be sent along?

I’m a total nerd for the bee charm pictures!

    Bee-utiful bouquet!! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. 😉

The bee charms make another appearance! Love seeing how each of us attached them and how different the bouquets (or shoes, dress, etc) holding them are.
