Coral & Seafoam

So far, the decision on “wedding colors” has been the easiest—but even then, that doesn’t mean everyone agrees! I was positive I wanted to include the color coral in the wedding colors. Sure, it’s trendy—or maybe it used to be trendy, and I’m just that far behind?—but it’s also at least a somewhat flattering color on me and the tones are good for a spring wedding.

Coral it was, then.

The slight problem came in deciding on a second color. Everyone says you’re “supposed” to have two wedding colors, right? I was fairly set on seafoam—I mean, look at these inspiration photos! How could you say no?

So, coral and seafoam were definitely in. I debated for a while if I needed to have “secondary colors.” Eventually I decided that it doesn’t really matter! If I wanted to, I could add shades of blue, yellow, or lavender. Any of them would look good with coral and seafoam and with each other, so I don’t have to worry too much.

Did you use coral as one of your wedding colors? What other colors do you think would work?

We are getting married in September and so far these are our colours….coral has alway been my go-to colour for favourite clothing etc and the seamfoam mint is just beautiful and cheery with it…so far we havent set any plans in stone so Im sure it will grow and evolve- I’m not looking forward to picking them exact shades and then trying to match….eeek!

LOVE coral. I am also using coral! I know what you mean about it being ‘trendy,’ but who cares?? Just gotta go with what you love! Great choice 🙂

@Berrymagick: Like several commenters said before, it can be super hard to find colors and coordinate them! (I say coordinate instead of match cause pretty sure matching is impossible!) I had to abandon this scheme a little bit unfortunately but I do know it’s possible if I wasn’t working within some other strict parameters.

@MrsJH13: A lot of places do have a seafoam/mint match as long as you’re willing to be a little more relaxed about color and style… main players like David’s Bridal and J. CREW especially.

One thing I would suggest is buy the bridesmaid dresses FIRST if you’re dressing them in seafoam or mint! Then try to coordinate florals, decorations, etc. with that 🙂

this is sooo pretty! i’m using coral as my “accent” color (whatever that means), which doesnt really fit a winter wedding, but i’m hoping it works!

I am using coral, mint green and ivory and I am in love. My bridal party is doing a mix of these as well and they look gorg together. I’ve realized if you use some variant of theses eg.peach it adds another dimension. Happy planning
