We’ve been obsessed with this photo for a while and it’s our plan to emulate it on our wedding day.
A big part of what appeals to us about this look is the black and white contrasting colors; it’s undoubtedly bold and beautiful. We love the elegant cake stands and symmetrical setup too, but our favorite element is that huge white mirror! Well, you guys know I’m obsessed with Etsy and know I love all things vintage, so it should come as no big surprise that I’m captivated by these lovely, white-framed, vintage mirrors. There are dozens for sale on Etsy too… just like this one:
Since before getting engaged, I imagined our day would be filled with simple Southern details such as this, but for $180, I wasn’t sure I would get to have one.
Mama Brooch thought otherwise! When I showed her the picture of the dessert table, a light bulb went off in her head! She said, remember raiding of granny’s closet? Remember all the frames and mirrors we found down there?

2.) Use tape to protect the mirror and start painting:
Make sure you get all the nooks and crannies!
3.) Let the paint dry:

Here’s the BEFORE:
Not too bad, huh? Well, I love it and I think it’s going to make a great addition to our dessert bar or at least some area of our venue! It’s a detail I’m glad we’re able to incorporate since there seems to be more and more things we’re cutting off our list lately.
P.S. I bet you’re wondering about those white frames and fabric! That’s another project I can’t wait to tell you about!
