My Bridal Christmas List

With Christmas just around the corner, my family has continued its annual Christmas Wish List string of emails. Basically all 11 of us (two parents, seven siblings, two in-laws) create a huge email chain where we list what we want for Christmas, including brand, size, color, etc. I just checked and last year’s email had 46 messages.

As I started to work on my list, I knew I would add a few staples (clothes, makeup, you get the drift), but what I really wanted to add were those *extra* items. Wedding-related extra items. Those little craft projects and tools that I don’t have to have, really don’t need to have, and certainly don’t have the budget for.

But…isn’t that what Christmas is all about?? After we account for the religious holiday, of course. 🙂

First up:

  • Six hundred 60 mm gold sequins

What does one need 600 sequins for, you make ask?? Only to make the the best photo-booth background ever:

Talk about a statement! I love the glamour and whimsy of this background. I do admit…I was seriously torn when I saw so many great photo booths that used frames. I could just imagine all the fun I would have with some thought bubbles after the wedding.

But, this didn’t really fit our theme. Plus, I love how reflective the gold sequins are so the photo booth would sparkle like a beacon of light screaming at guests, “Come take some awesome and hilarious photos HERE!”

It would also be a perfect backdrop for a New Year’s Eve party for all the hardcore party planners.

Next on my unnecessary but perfectly necessary (depending on who you ask) Christmas list:

  • Embosser (any brand is fine, dear family)

(Sometimes, I worry if I do research and become invested in a product I jinx my chances of someone deciding to get it for me. Makes absolutely no sense.)

I giggle at all the things I could do with this bad boy. Napkins, thank yous, bridesmaid gifts, OH MY. On one hand, maybe I don’t want this because I’ll become addicted. Many bees have shared their embossing success stories over the years, and I love what they have come up with (Mrs. Lemon, Mrs. Earrings, and Mrs. Starfish, to name a few).

And finally…

  • Adjustable circle paper cutter

I could use this for so many different things. I am really bad at cutting out circles. And honestly, it is just tedious. If I had a circle cutter, I could crank out my own faux gold sequins (see #1) using shiny scrapbook paper. Then once my wedding was over, I could work on projects like this:

And because I am a stereotypical noncommittal female, I need options. Adjustable circle cutter it is!

Is anyone else adding wedding-related items to their Christmas list? If so, what are you asking for? Maybe I am forgetting something!
