Insider tips from the best honeymoon destinations in the U.S. (and across the world)
For the past few years, bee bloggers have been sharing their recommendations and insider tips for honeymooning in the places they’re most familiar with: their hometowns. Great news: We’ve officially opened up participation in this feature to all Weddingbee readers! We know that there are an infinite number of amazing honeymoon destinations in the U.S. (and across the world), and there are no better people to point out the most romantic hot spots than brides-to-bee or newlyweds themselves.
If you live in the best city or town in the world, show it some love by contributing your own Honeymoon in My Hometown recommendations (check out the entire series here). Show the hive what we can’t miss out on and what your town has to offer—from restaurants, to places to stay, and romantic things to do—with your own insider spin.
If your hometown has already been covered, don’t hesitate to submit anyway. After all, you’ll likely provide a different perspective on your city that we can all benefit from!

And since the weather has officially turned for the worst for most of us across the U.S., today we’re sharing Mrs. Duckling‘s guide to honeymooning in San Diego. Apparently it’s shaping up to be in the low 70s and sunny over on the southern coast of California next week and I’m doing everything I can to contain my jealousy. So without further ado…
Honeymoon in My Hometown: San Diego!
I grew up in San Diego and absolutely love it. Even though I am currently living in Orange County, I am hoping that one day we will be able to return to San Diego. To be honest, there are so many thoughts that come to mind for a honeymoon in my hometown, that it has taken me a while to put everything together. San Diego is beautiful all year, so you can come and enjoy it anytime. Obviously for those that love the beach, summer is the best for that. If you are planning on coming here for your honeymoon you could either play tourist and see all the sights or choose to cozy up in romantic restaurants, spas and relaxing scenery. San Diego is very big, so I think I’m going to divide it up by general areas and things to do.
In downtown San Diego, not far from the airport, there is tons to do.
