Hi, hive! I am so honored to bee here!!! I know, I know, not original. But the sentiment is true all the same. When I received the email, I just knew it was a “try again later” rejection. It literally took me three times reading through the email for it to sink in: I’m a BEE!!!
Oh wait, how rude am I? I haven’t even introduced myself. Hi, my name is Miss Angelfish and I like warm hugs! I was born and raised just outside of Washington, DC, and then I spent four wonderful years at a Midwest, Irish-loving university before returning to the East Coast to become a transportation supervisor. When I am not monitoring the world of public transportation, I spend my time reading fiction novels, researching the latest tech gadgets, and volunteering with a few social and charitable organizations.
I met Mr. Angelfish on Facebook through a mutual friend, and we were inseparable from our first date. After dating for what seemed like forever, but actually amounted to about a year, we discovered we were expecting our first child. Three years later, we now enjoy cuddling with our shy but inquisitive son who insists on playing Pharrell’s “Happy” on repeat while trying to help me with all things DIY for the wedding.
When Mr. Angelfish and I aren’t enjoying family time, you can find us running in every 5k, 10k, or half marathon we can find. We just completed a 5k together along with my mom, and we ALL took home prizes in our age divisions. We enjoy running (or jogging, in my case) so much that Mr. Angelfish thought my first half marathon would be the perfect opportunity to (finally) ask me if I would spend the rest of my life with him. And even though I was super sore with ice packs on both legs, I JUMPED onto him in excitement!
And here we are, preparing to unite this family under one last name, and I am so excited for you to read about it! I look forward to sharing the journey of the Angelfish family as we get ready for our May 2015 golf course wedding.
