Paint My Face: Part 2

A week after having mixed feelings about my makeup trial at Sephora, I tried my prowess at makeup application as a practice for wedding day.

45 minutes later this is what I came up with (please ignore my scraggly hair)…

I personally like it much better than my previous trial. I think this new makeup look works much better with my makeup inspiration and with our casual morning wedding, and it doesn’t hurt that I feel much more comfortable in it. I’m still a bit ambivalent because it’s our wedding, in which I will be photographed a million times and it wouldn’t hurt to have a little extra makeup oomph.

Here is a side by side comparison

Which look do you think I should use for my morning wedding?

Do you have any suggestions or makeup recommendations? Would you add/eliminate anything from either of the wedding day makeup looks?

Love the dimple in the second one!! Where the happier smile is- that’s where my vote goes. I prefer the more natural look of the second one, esp. for a morning celebration.

Natural is way better. The first look is almost harsh. You look way softer and more romantic in the second — plus you LOOK happier.

I think you look gorgeous in both pictures! However I voted for the more ‘dramatic’ one, maybe out of personal preference, maybe because it’ll “stand out” more in pictures (like you wouldn’t stand out anyways because you’re going to be THE BRIDE!). My photographers suggested I amp up the make-up just a tad, with still keeping it comfortable, just because it’ll look a lot better once in print form (although they can do wonders with Photoshop!)

I, too, love the second look but maybe your already gorgeous eyes will look better in pictures if your makeup artist adds fake eyelashes, albeit, natural , just to give it that extra oomph that pictures call for. Other than that, maybe she could add a little bit more of color. A little pink/purple eyeshadow? But I think some good natural fake eyelashes will do the trick in the eyes department, at least and maybe a super thin, natural eyeliner on your top lid in brown so that it looks softer as it’s a morning wedding. That’s all I think you need, and only because pictures can be tricky, because with or without makeup you are one hot boa like the other bees say 😉 . Lucky Fi, you have!

I am a journalist living in NYC, and I am writing an article on people who take their friends with them on honeymoons. I read in an earlier post that you are going on a cruise with your BFF for your honeymoon – I would love to speak to you for my article.

do the nr 2 but add the eyeliner just on top…the reason why the first one does not look good…
is to much of everything, especially the eyebrows!
you are so pretty…dont go to off your daily make up…you want to be recognizable at the wedding
