Oh Em Gee! These Invitations Will Be the Death of Me!

OK, maybe I’ m being a slight bit dramatic…but after about a month of working on all of the pieces that will go into the invites, I’m feeling a bit on the edge. I keep repeating to myself: This is going to save us money. This is going to pay off. Everything will be all right.

Mr. B peeks in and rambles something about not caring for the font on the RSVP…What do you mean, you don’t like that font?! I’ve been working on this for hours upon hours, and you don’t think that font is quite right?! AAAAHHHH! OK, OK. Stop. Calm down. Everything WILL be all right.

I need to stop over-analyzing and just go with my first instinct. I could spend two hours just switching around fonts!

Our invites started out in an identity crisis like the theme of the reception did. I wanted a rustic feel like this:

Invite by Typecast Press via Design Sponge

Or this:

Invite by Paisley Quill via Green Wedding Shoes

But with a whimsical, carnival-ish twist like this:

Invite by Thoughtful Day via 100 Layer Cake

It’s coming together in Photoshop…slowly but surely. Can you imagine a whimsical/carnival feel mixed with rustic/outdoorsy? Stay tuned—it’s coming along!

I’ve found that stress always pays off in the finished product, so your invites should be amazing 🙂
