Truth be told, I was completely sleep-deprived and down-right exhausted weeks before the wedding. I elected to take the summer off from school which allotted me just enough time to finish planning every aspect of the wedding by my little ol’ self. While executing the details that I could in the time I had, I let my health and general appearance fall by the way side. I would like to openly thank my godmother and my sister for putting in a tremendous amount of effort the morning of the wedding to make me look like a normal human being. This was no easy feat, I assure you!
My sister and I were pretty irritated with each other, oh, the YEAR before the wedding. The day of, we spent about an hour or two just talking while she applied my makeup. (Heidi caught the tail-end of this, and I’m so glad she did!) We laughed and cried, and it felt so darn good to share a tender moment with her.
