I kept a secret from the hive…
When I left Columbus and packed up my wedding dress, I just couldn’t leave her alone on the honeymoon. Before we left our Hilo rental, I made Mr. Funnel Cake lace me up and take a “few” pictures of me out in the backyard because I really wanted some photos of my Sabelle in Hawaii.
Mr. Funnel Cake did his best to shoot in raw so I could edit later, and here are the results. Some of Mr. FC’s shots were pretty over or underexposed, but with some a lot of editing I think we salvaged a few good ones. 🙂
For the shoot, I put my hair up in a simple bun with a red flower clip I bought in Hawaii. I switched up my makeup from the natural look I had during the wedding with red lips and purple eyeliner. I also wore the alternate pearl earrings that I hadn’t worn so much on the wedding day.
It was really windy in the backyard, so I knew I’d have some of those beloved flyaways again. Whatevs. 😉
…um…and if you can’t tell, I’m totally sporting flip flops under my dress. Very laid back! Everything was thrown together in a jiffy. 🙂
I should probably photoshop that random drain pipe out of these if I ever decide to print any of these…but I only corrected in Lightroom, so this is all I’ve edited for now. Mr. Funnel Cake is not a professional photographer, so please forgive him for his framing!
I’d kill for a backyard with a view like this!
Love me a warm photo once in awhile…it makes it look warmer than it actually felt with our rainy weather and low temps during the honeymoon. I can almost imagine the suntan I never got. 😉
I love these beach photos, but I’m positive I got my dress dirty on this lava rock. Washing would have to wait until we were home!
I’m really happy I asked Mr. Funnel Cake to take these photos. I absolutely loved wearing my dress again and seeing it in a Hawaiian setting. If only we had a real photographer around to take pictures of us both!
Would you do a surprise TTD on your honeymoon?
