The Quest for a Tux, Part Two

After not choosing the awesome (but pricey) Barney’s suit”¦Wolfman and I were walking around the fancy mall after buying our wedding bands (more on that later!) and wandered into Hugo Boss “just to see””¦well, of course they had an amazing tux:

It looked so good and the saleslady told us the best selling point EVER: this is the same tux that Daniel Craig rocks in Skyfall.

Have you all seen this? SEE IT. It’s amazing (Movie poster via

Ow ow. I thought for SURE he would pick this one. I mean”¦James Bond wore it. But, he surprised me by opting for this from All Saints:

After I saw it on him”¦I knew why. It fit PERFECTLY. I doubt he needs any tailoring at all—plus he saved quite a bit of money on it.

The rest of the ensemble was relatively easy. Wolfman ordered shirts for he and his groomsmen from Hugh and Crye:

They’re a local boutique that Wolfman has been pretty loyal to for a year or so now. He also got a shirt for each of his groomsmen. Not only is that a nice gift, it also assures that they’ll be uniformly snazzy looking for the big day. If your guy is particular about the fit of his shirts, I recommend taking a look there.

He’ll top off the whole look with a classic satin bow tie from J. Crew:

Funny story: Wolfman bought a bow tie for Mrs. Sparkler’s wedding and when we were getting ready”¦we realized neither of us knew how to tie one. Whoops. Guess we better learn.

So there you have it! The (incredibly) abridged version of how Wolfman picked his wedding wear. Any other grooms have this hard of a time picking something to wear? How much input did your guys have into the wedding day attire?

Love it! I firmly believe every man should own a tuxedo. Rented tuxes just never quite fit properly, and tailoring makes all the difference. Wolfman is going to look fab!

He’s going to look great, although I still can’t believe he passed on the James Bond tux!

The James Bond tux would be amazing. But if the tux fits him perfectly, I bet he’ll look even better than Bond in the one he did pick

All the tuxes you looked at are great, but beware: the tux worn in Skyfall is not from Hugo Boss, it’s actually by Tom Ford! Sneaky Boss saleswoman…

Very well written. I second Miss Deutsch. The tuxedo worn in Skyfall was originally designed by TomFord. Many stores have similar looking tuxs.
