Last week our photographers stopped by our apartment on their way back from Disneyland for Kimi’s birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIMI!) and dropped this off…

We’re very excited to launch this new Interview feature, where we’ll be interviewing some of the most talented and interesting people in the wedding industry!
Our first guest is Mackenzie Sala of Kenzie Kate Invitations and Something Old, Something New, the blog with the most fabulous wedding finds. I first met Mackenzie through Ladies Who Launch 4 years ago when we were both just starting out. It’s been exciting to watch our businesses grow together! Mackenzie is not only talented and beautiful, she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She truly loves working with each of her brides to create the invitation of their dreams.
Without further ado, the guest of the hour!

I’ve never been a consistent “scrapbooker” mainly because it’s so time consuming and easily takes over my life. What starts out as a free afternoon turns into a 3AM mess of glue, cute paper and tiny scissors with no food, water or bathroom breaks. (Who’s with me on this?!)
I tried to finish our wedding scrapbook before our 1 year mark…. but I just couldn’t do it. I’m about to start it all up again, so I thought I’d share the few pages that I was able to finish.
Our cover:
Hey people, don’t feel bad for me. This is where I am blogging from:

King Size Pod beds around the pool.

My view while I blog.

Samsonite’s new Black Label Vintage luggage line is inspired by the days when travel was a glamorous event. Available in 5 color palettes, each piece features leather detailing, hardware accents, and beautiful satin lining that lend a vintage twist to this modern design.
I thought I’d give you all a tour of where my fiance and I have decided to live. A newly built 2 bedroom 2 full bath apartment of a 4-family condo somewhere in NJ.
“Welcome~!”

The kitchen where I’ll be cooking most of the time and where my fiance will be doing dishes most of the time. Hee Hee~!
Are you going to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico or Canada for your honeymoon next year? Now you’ll need a passport.
The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008, travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Mexico and Canada have a passport or other secure, accepted document to enter or re-enter the United States.
thanks, christi!
Every month The Oprah Magazine features things that Oprah thinks are great in a feature called The O List. This month I loved these vibrant, stylish gym bags from Koie Products which have separate compartments for your shoes, clothes, ipod, etc. I’d really want this if my lazy ass actually worked out.
A great gift for the sporty bridesmaid, available in 6 colors for $75.

The TSA has updated what you can and can’t bring onto planes:
Travelers may now carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
After clearing security, travelers can now bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area on-board aircraft.
At the checkpoint travelers will be asked to remove the zip-top bag of liquids and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.
Some airports have implemented a prescreening program where you pay a yearly fee (around $100) and get fingerprinted, your eyeball scanned and a background check. You still have to go through a metal detector and get your bags scanned to get to the gate, but you don’t have to wait in line anymore.
Is that something you’d sign up for? I would.

That’s what Mr. Grasshopper’s grandmother said the day after the wedding. The Grasshoppers are back from Kauai, rested and married! Our wedding was better than I ever could have anticipated. We are still waiting on the rest of our professional photos, but here are a few to start:

Pre-wedding photos in Dumbo.

Strutting down the aisle with my Dad. You may know him from such media channels as Fox 5 news, CBS, AM New York….

MAKE OUT!!

Alex + Karen = 4eva temporary tattoos. A gift from one of the groomsmen. They were a huge hit. Babies and grandparents were sporting them by the end of the evening.
More photos and reviews coming soon!
Mr. Caterpillar and I only had 4 days between our wedding/reception(s) and the wedding of the lovely Megses, so I figured we were going to stay somewhere relatively local for the minimoon — local meaning maybe we could find a tent or build a fort in my parent’s backyard. But, Mr. Caterpillar is a super genius, and he surprised me with a trip to One & Only Palmilla in Los Cabos.
1. The Villa — Casa Miramar

It’s a beachfront suite (beach on the other side) with a wrap around balcony. I think I cried when we had to leave for Los Angeles.
2. The Livingroom

Every evening at 5:30, our butler would bring cocktail snacks — mixed nuts and parmesan tuile, marinated cheese and croutons, or olives and spiced almonds. (These went with the giant bottle of tequila they gave us.) I miss the butler.
I saw this over at the People’s Design Awards - a transparent foldable kayak!

The award winning Napali kayak from Clear Blue Hawaii is the way to experience kayaking because you can see right through it! If you’re lucky enough to be honeymooning in the crystal clear waters Hawaii, Bermuda, St. Thomas or Bali - you can rent one at these locations.
I’m a total outdoors buff so I’d love to get in one of these babies!
