I’m fascinated with cool salt and pepper shakers. This Amore set from Chiasso would make great wedding favors. On sale for $12. The Lift’n'Shake salt & pepper shaker set pictured right is $22.

I’ve been a fan of Chiasso for many years. It’s the perfect place to buy modern engagement, bridal shower or wedding gifts for the home that are fun, unique and useful.
Other cool gift ideas: hold-it bookends, $48; Bikini Vase, $58
Cuckoo clock, $68; Book table clock, $38

Disc tissue ring, $25; Kiwi cutting board, $28

Blossom tea infuser, $12; Coffee Cup Tower, $28
Sally Stool, $68; Dragonfly doormat, $38

These luggage tags from Paper Source are an adorable way to round out a bridemaid’s gift bag, or even use as favors.

At $4.50 each, they’re a steal.

I was surfing Flickr and came across feelingismutual’s super cool and original diy wedding projects.
She made these table numbers with a screen printing product called gocco.
These thank you cards were also printed with the gocco.
I loved these button favors she had made at One Inch Round. I’ve been wanting to make some for weddingbee!
She designed these invitations then had them printed by Paper Monkey Press.
These tea invites were printed at Staples! Awesome quality!
Check out the rest of her diy wedding projects on her flickr.
Also check out her knot bio. Thanks Jessica!

Mr. Poppy and I have matching cell phone accesories. I knew from the moment I saw them on yaishop’s etsy shop, I wanted to get them. Originally I wanted them as favours but I am actually planning on different favours and promise to write about them another time. But I couldn’t resist posting pics of the cell phones! Yaishop can customize and will work with you if you want different clothes.

Hope you girls enjoyed these pictures :). May your favour finding be ever so blissful!
PS: Etsy is a great place to find wonderful items. I bought my bridesmaids gifts on there from another artist named Angela Liu. Go browse around and have fun - she’s offering free shipping to weddingbee readers thru the end of August with the purchase of two items!
This is a cool idea I read about in Brides New York magazine recently. Wedding planner Jody Brefere approached two hot dog vendors outside Cipriani 42, and paid them $250 each to give guests hot dogs and roasted nuts as they left the venue. This is a fun little midnight snack for guests that you can do in lieu of favors. Who doesn’t love a New York City hot dog?

When thinking about favors I would like to receive, I thought I would just love to get an Eggling. They are a bit pricey for individual favors, but they are freakin’ cute and unique.

I have lived in Brooklyn for over five years now and only just made it to the Jacques Torres chocolate shop in Dumbo this past weekend, while sampling the delicious favor options Brooklyn has to offer. We bought a few a la carte chocolates to see what the deal was all about and I have to say, this chocolate deserves all the press it gets.

They have two boxed favor options: 2 pieces for $4.75 and 4 pieces for $7. Or go a la carte and package the chocolate up the way you want it to look. Added bonus: brides outside of the New York area can order their favors online.
Heinz is now offering customizable ketchup and mustard bottles as wedding favors!
The mini ketchup/mustard set with customized labels pictured above is $4/set when ordering more than 31 sets.
Heinz is offering three sizes of customizable Ketchup bottles, including the iconic 14-ounce glass, 20-ounce Top-Down, and special “mini” 2.25-ounce Ketchup bottles. The “mini” favor-sized bottles, which were previously available only on a limited basis through hotel room service and the Heinz gift shops, also will be available with Heinz Dijon Mustard.
Everyone loves ketchup and mustard and mini versons of things. ![]()
My friend Melissa was telling me about a shower she went to this weekend, where the guest favors were dry cookie mix in a glass jar with a tag indicating the baking directions (add an egg, oil and vanilla and bake!), and a funky wooden spoon. I have seen these before, but had never considered them for a bridal shower favor. I think it sounds like a great do-it-yourself favor for someone hosting a bridal event. Check out the directions for a mix here. Seems pretty easy and delicious.

I am in love with these adorable favours:

They would make the perfect favours especially for Korean couples out there! Hand made, hand painted it’s so cute!
Go over to yaishop’s etsy shop to see all her other beautiful favours!
Tell her Miss Poppy from WeddingBee sent ya ;).
The last time I wrote about the groomsmen’s gifts idea that Mr. Butterfly came up with, I got a lot of comments saying that the business cards were a bit…useless. Granted, the groomsmen and ushers will have absolutely no reason to use these after the wedding. In fact, I don’t expect them to use them during the wedding either. The whole point was that we wanted to get them something nice, but inexpensive, as part of their groomsmen’s gift bags. We really liked the idea of a business card holder, and the cards are just a “filler” for fun.
Anyway, the cards came in last night and they look fantastic! I’m so glad that none of the groomsmen and ushers read this site because it would ruin the surprise.

Of course, both of my bridesmaids read this site, so I don’t think I can post about the bridesmaid gifts until after the wedding. Sorry girls!
I love love love my match boxes!!!! They are so cute!! However, I’m not a huge fan of my candles. The candles are actually a decent size, and I love the smell of them, but the personalized stickers didn’t come out so well. I used the same “double happiness” chinese symbol that I used in the invitations, but in a different style of calligraphy. I’m wishing I used the same one, so that it would be more consistent. I don’t know what I was thinking.
However, each favor came out to less than $3 per person, and you can’t beat that! I’ll just have to live with the stickers.

Here they are individually. I chose the gold organza bags because it was the only color that most closely matched my color scheme. In hindsight, I probably should have gone with just plain white. Oh well.

Here they are all wrapped up to go. The organza bags I bought have a 1 inch square bottom to it, so that you can stand it up straight.
Now all I need to do is make cute little favor tags, and tie it to the strings.
