I just got back this morning from my cousin’s wedding in Orange County. The wedding was gorgeous, and I can’t wait to share the images from the fabulous John and Joseph Photography once I get them! And for those of you following my dress saga, this what I ended up wearing.

But the point of this post is to ask for your help dear readers! Weddingbee reader Claire suggested that we create a special icon for the Knottie Bios feature, because she found it difficult to scroll through Mrs. Bird of Paradise’s bio posts to get to her wedding posts.
We’d like to feature bios from all kinds of sites and sources, so please tell us — what kind of icon should we have designed for our Bio feature?
Please welcome the latest drink to the hive, Miss Lemonade!

Miss Lemonade, Austin/San Antonio
Age & Occupation: 28, Bureaucrat
Fiancé’s Age & Occupation: 28, Music Management
Engagement Date: December 21, 2007
Wedding Date: April, 2009
Venue: Country Club outdoor ceremony, ballroom reception
About Me: I’m a total wonkette who is lucky enough to be surrounded by her favorite things on a daily basis – awesome music, the great State of Texas and of course, Mr. Lemonade! I find any excuse I can to craft something and am completely infatuated with the 1950’s, all things Kennedy, and my furbaby Vida.

Please welcome our latest drink to the hive, Miss Martini!

Miss Martini, New Jersey
Age & Occupation: 30, Telecom by day, Superhero by night.
Fiancé’s Age & Occupation: 32, Investments and Finance by day, hip hop dancer by night.
Engagement Date: May 24, 2008
Wedding Date: March, 2009
Venue: The Venetian
Things that make me happy: Haribo Happy Cola gummies, TV shows on DVD, buying books although I never read them, 80’s rock ballads, ramen, and of course Mr. Martini!
Why Mr. Martini and I are so different: He is the calm, logical and number crunching finance guy. I can’t even multiply double digit numbers in my head and I am so indecisive that trying to choose between light green or slightly lighter green paper stresses me out (Wedding planning is going to be soooo much fun). Why we are the same: We both find great joy in nabbing great seats at the movie theater for a blockbuster movie on opening weekend, and we are both absolutely crazy about snowboarding. Why we’re a great pair: He loves to cook, I love to eat!

Since some of you may not be familiar with our older generations of bees, I thought I’d tell you a little bit about them. Back when Weddingbee was much smaller and based in New York, I was fortunate enough to be able to hang out with all of these cool, talented, and super SMART ladies!
Yes you read that right - Please welcome our second groom blogger to join the hive, Mr. Mango!

Fiancee’s Age & Occupation: 21, Political Scientist
Engagement Date: June 12, 2008
Wedding Date: December 13, 2008

About Me: It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do, that defines me (cheesy Batman reference). I’m a Pakistani-American who lives his life as a nerdy scientist by day, and a nerdy artist by night. According to many, I’m as “metro” as they come, and that’s probably why I’m so interested in all this wedding business. Honestly, I’ve become a bit of a “groomzilla”. I’m here to prove that we, as grooms, actually can work a Gocco, plan a wedding meal, create breathtaking centerpieces, and rock a dress, just as good as my female counterparts (well maybe not the last one).
Hey guys,
We just found out that many wordpress sites (the blogging platform we use) are currently not working in Internet Explorer 7 - including weddingbee.com. We’re not sure what’s up, but the wordpress world is abuzz. It’s very odd that so many sites would suddenly hit this exact same error at the same time… we’re on the case!
Hopefully you have firefox or an earlier version of Internet Explorer where Weddingbee is still working a ok.
We’ll keep you updated — thanks for your patience!
Mrs. Bee

Weddingbee was just down for 25 minutes! It had nothing to do with our servers: our webhost’s nameserver went down.
When you type weddingbee.com into your browser, your computer has to ask a “name server” which IP address to send you to – so that you can find our servers. The name server is like the Yellow Pages of the net: you look up the name, and the Yellow Pages tells you the phone number and street address of the business. That’s the system that went down for us!
We’ve never had that happen before. We’re looking into getting a more powerful name server with backups built in, so that this doesn’t happen again. It’s pretty expensive though, so we’re weighing the pros and cons first. We’ll know more as soon as we talk to our name server provider.
But we wanted to let you guys know right away what the word was! We’ll keep you posted in the comments…
