Our Badgely Mischka runway experience was really great! It was held right in their offices, in a small space with a double runway. The Mrs. Bee and I snagged seats right up front which offered a great view of all the dresses. I sat next to Colin Cowie! Badgely Mischka was debuting their Spring 2010 line here, and while most collections we viewed this week were for next fall, it was great to see a spring line in the mix.

I loved the familiar silhouettes punched up with gorgeous detailing. Each and every dress was incredibly wearable!
Mrs. Bee, Mrs. Apple Cider, Mrs. Onion, Mrs. Canary, readers Serena and Alex and I had the honor of attending the Martha Stewart Weddings 15th anniversary party at The Plaza Hotel this week. The event was set up to mimic a lavish wedding, hosted by the beautiful Darcy Miller. Highlights included a candy buffet by Amy Atlas, a photobooth, catering by Morimoto, 3 live bands, and elegance at every turn! It was a total blast, and it was great to hang out with the best and the brightest in the wedding industry for a night!

The room was cast in warm pinks, with white high tables and pastel florals.

We were incredibly excited to attend the Monique Lhuillier show! It was held at the Eyebeam Atelier, and it had a double runway setup, which was nice because it maximized visibility for the attendants. Mrs. Bee and I scored great seats right up front with Anne-Marie from Perfect Bound and Kelly from Santa Barbara Chic. Anne-Marie was in the first seat, so she got the best pics, and was kind enough to share some of her shots with us!
I really wanted to soak the show in so I didn’t take very many pictures myself. Monique says that her Fall 2010 line is all about a Fairytale Winter Wedding.

I was at a wedding last weekend and mentioned to a friend that I’d be heading to New York for Bridal Market, and an old friend told me to look out for Hey Lady shoes by his good friends Jessica and Emily Leung. I asked how I would recognize them, just in case I forgot the company name, and he said, “Trust me, you’ll know them when you see them.”
Uhh… okay. I figured I’d never find them, and I left the conversation at that. But when I came upon Hey Lady, he was right: I instantly knew I’d found who I was looking for. But if I hadn’t been seeking them out in the first place, I would have been drawn to their shoe porn anyway.

I’m on a plane back to California right now (yay for in-flight WiFi), and can’t wait to keep blogging highlights from Bridal Market!
Ines Di Santo’s spring 2010 line was inspired by diamonds, and there was no shortage of sparkle at the show! Nothing fell flat—every gown was 3 dimensional and interesting from every angle!

Walking into the Haute Bride suite at Bridal Market, I felt like I could close my eyes and throw a dart at any three necklaces/bracelets/earrings, and be beyond happy to wear them all together. It was definitely hard to decide which pieces to take pics of to post, so I took a LOT of pictures, and I hope you enjoy them! I love that they’re San Francisco based, because most bridal shops are based out of New York.
Their bracelets are so, so recognizable! I could spot a Haute Bride bracelet from a mile away!

We had great vantage points for me to snap some pics at the bigger shows at Bridal Market this weekend, so while we gather our pro pics, I thought I’d blog about a show that I was able to catch on my own camera! Kirstie Kelly for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings was last night, and appropriately for Disney… the kids stole the show! Kirstie showcased some adorable flower girl dresses, along with dresses inspired by all the Disney princesses, including their newest princess, Tiana, from the upcoming movie The Princess and the Frog. She did a great job of capturing the essence of the princesses this year. The show opened with various inspirational quotes by Walt Disney, followed by a preview of the upcoming movie:

Mrs. Bee is due very soon, but she’s been a trooper all weekend running around town with me catching some amazing shows! We’ll spend all this week sharing our favorite sights and sounds around town, but for now here’s a glimpse of the action!

Every Monique Lhuillier dress was a stunner! Baby Sophia Lhuillier is due in 5 weeks so Monique was unable to attend… congratulations Monique on both an amazing fall 2010 collection and baby!
