About Me: It’s hard to believe that by the time Mr. Sundae and I get married we will have been together for almost ten years. When we first met in college we split dollar pitchers and now we share the mortgage payments. Despite our love for the city we are looking forward to tying the knot in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
I was so excited to get this in the mail - an invitation to my own shower! Mr. Sundae and I are almost the last of my friends to get married, so I’ve received a lot of shower invitations. I knew it was coming but was still clueless when I opened the envelope…it was completely surreal to see my name in print!

About Me: I never dreamed about my wedding as a little girl because I was too busy playing in the mud or pretending to be Martha Stewart–but now that it's here, I'm having a fabulous time DIYing everything in sight! We’re planning a very fun multicultural wedding (I'm Jewish and Mr. Cream Puff is Chinese), filled with as many personal details as I can muster.
I have been MIA for days! I suck!! I’ve been waiting to post about my shower and bachelorette parties until I collected pictures from my friends. Luckily they are all super awesome and on top of it, and I got them less than a week later! Let’s start with my shower, which was hosted by my friends Amanda and Marianne, with help from Momma Puff.
First off, the decorations. Holy cute! All my favorite bright colors in one place, punctuated by lots and lots of candy!!

Wedding Date: May 3, 2008
Venue: Zen Garden in the East Bay w/ reception in a floor-to-ceiling window Atrium with views of the Zen Garden
About Me: After 5 years of dating, we're finally ready to get hitched! I am a lovah of all things wedding, creative, crafty, and definitely DIY bc I love to add a personal touch to everything I gift or make. In my free time, I like to bake, spend time with our family, friends, and my doggies, read my guilty pleasure celebrity gossip and catch up on TV shows.
I’ve never been more awestruck in my life. These girls are simply DIY creative geniuses. Every ounce of detail was covered and no corner was left undecorated or spruced. I learned just about a million gazillion things from my gfs through the bridal shower they threw for me, and I want to share it with you (finally!). Gotta tell you, out of 350+ pics, I’ve narrowed down just a bear-with-me-few (and very embarassing ones at that) to demonstrate how amazing this shower was, BEST EVER! Thanks to my girls, I love you gals so much! I was left in the dark to the happenings until I was brought to my destination….
It all started with this amazing invitation that guests received. It drove me nuts when people would ask if I knew anything and kept raving about the invitation they got and I didn’t get to see.

About Me: Mr. Cupcake and I hit it off at a Halloween party and immediately began a long-distance relationship. After two years, he moved to my neck of the woods, and a year and a half after that, he proposed at the “place we fell in love.” I am a true perfectionist who enjoys designing and creating more work for myself, so wedding planning is my perfect outlet. Mr. Cupcake and I are both old souls, and we hope to weave that aspect of our personalities into our wedding day.
Yesterday, I received an exciting piece of mail:
Albeit a little beat up from the USPS

About Me: I recently moved to Canada from Southern California. Trying to plan a wedding in a new city, not to mention a new country, is tough, but the fact that we can get legally married here more than makes up for it! The wedding will be an opportunity for most of our family and friends to see our new city for the first time so it will be both a wedding and a reunion. Besides my future wife, I am also madly in love with a good bargain, Swedish pastries, Tivo, and my two dogs and calico cat (in no particular order).
Miss GB 2.0 and I made a rare appearance together in Los Angeles for our wedding shower! Some guests were a little confused about our shower, wondering if we were actually going to be there, what with us living in another country and all. It was so great to see friends and family that we hadn’t seen for quite some time. It was also nice because some shower attendees aren’t able to travel to Canada for our wedding, but were able to celebrate with us at the shower.
Aside from hanging out with our loved ones, other highlights included…
The gorgeous towel cake that my mom made! I honestly thought this was a real cake at first glance. Doesn’t it look delicious? Here are the instuctions that she used.

Miss GB 2.0 is wearing TWO aprons! Mine is courtesy of my ever stylish friend and favourite blogger, Monkeywed.

I am so super excited!! The other day I got home from Oregon to find this ADORABLE pink invitation waiting for me! How freakin’ cute are these? I am totally afraid of my shower, but have been feeling much better since the host (my friend Amanda) has made me feel very loved by throwing it for me. I’m so excited.

No, this is not a post about hygiene…although more than one bee confessed to not showering enough over the long weekend. So I’ve been checking the weather religiously to see what was in store for this weekend.

I’m a little bummed that of all the days for it to rain, that it’s going to rain on Saturday! What’s going on Saturday you ask? It’s my Bridal Shower/Bachlorette Party!

Mr. Peacock’s sister is throwing us a co-ed shower in June and I am so excited! The invites arrived last week and they could not be cuter
I love the Mexican theme.
His sister and her husband like to order their Mexican food from a little restaurant down the street from them. It’s really, really good. Hopefully the margaritas will be, too - I’m making them! I’ll tack my recipe onto the end of this post.
