Mrs. Bluebell, New York
Age and Occupation in 07: 26, Finance Manager
Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Playing with the cat and/or Consulting
Engagement Date: December 25, 2005
Wedding Date: June 2007
Venue: Bride's family summer home in the Adirondacks
About Me: Trying to find the perfect balance between family tradition (marrying at the house everyone else in my family gets married at), making our's modern, interesting and different from everyone else in my family's, and incorporating some Chinese tradition for my Chinese fiance. I really have no idea what it's going to end up looking like!
Also, I picked Miss Bluebell for my name because I have blue eyes and I'm a loser like that.
I’m going wedding dress shopping today!!!
No, the Bluebells haven’t decided to renew their vows barely a month after the wedding - it’s for my best friend/maid of honor at my wedding, who’s getting married in May, now with me as her maid of honor!
But…saying that got me thinking. We were both engaged at the same time for a several month long overlap, so we got in the habit of referring to each other as “mutual maid of honors.” But now that I’m married…aren’t I technically a matron of honor?
Regardless, I just can’t quite get myself to say “matron.” It just sounds icky. Without even getting into the actual meanings of the words “maid” and “matron,” you really do have to admit that “maid of honor” just sounds like what that role is called, and “matron of honor” sounds…matronly.

Since we are back from our honeymoon and do not yet have the pics from our photographer (we should have them by Wednesday), I thought I would share some pics of the tea I hosted for my bridesmaids the day before the wedding.
Here is a pic of the table all set pretty…

I finished the invites for the bridesmaids’ tea last week and just got around to taking pictures of them to share with you.
I really wanted the invitations for the tea to be special, as each of my bridesmaids have been a huge help and done so much for me. I’m really excited about hosting a tea for them and have a bunch of fun ideas in store… I’m actually working on the menu today and will share everything once I get it put together.
So, here they are!!!

Engagement Date: September 24, 2006
Wedding Date: August 11, 2007
Blogging Since: June 19, 2007
Venue: church ceremony and private club reception
About Me: I am marrying my high school sweetheart 11 years after high school ended! I am a self professed shoe fanatic with a closet full of shoes and only two feet. Planning a wedding has been my fun project since he surprised me with a proposal in Paris. We are spending our last few months preparing for our big day by wrapping up all the small things, buying a house and best of all preparing to live together for the first time.
Friends that is. We have a lot of wonderful friends that are always there for us. So when it came time to deciding who to ask to be part our special day, it was a hard choice. Initially Mr. Butterscotch was rallying for one attendant for each of us. Me on the other hand, I wanted 6-7 (I have two sisters alone that were important for me to include, not to mention friends). Then he wanted to have 13 guys, so we semi-compromised and now we have 5 (my minimum) on each side. But we are also having honorary groomsmen and honorary bridesmaids. They will not be up at the altar with us, but they will be mentioned in the program along with being in a few of our pictures.
What was your magic number? And how did you come to that number?

Wedding Date: March 5, 2005

About Me: Yes, my name really is Bee! I love my blogging, wikis, and tabasco sauce!
You guys loved Threadless when we blogged about them in the past, so we thought we’d let you know that they’re having a Summer Vacation sale where every t-shirt is $10 through June 3rd. 6 new and reprinted tees will also be added daily. I always get compliments on the shirts I picked up the last time they had a $10 sale, so I’m gonna pick up a couple more including the doodlebug t-shirt below.

Threadless tees are unique (and affordable!) gifts for your bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, or ring bearer. I like this war and peas one for Miss Snow Pea!

About Me: My FI and I met online, but we like to tell people that we met at a "cookie shop" which is the technical location of our first encounter. He proposed exactly 1 year, 1 month and 6 days after our first date (it's the only part of his proposal speech that I remember), and we're planning long-distance from Los Angeles for a July wedding in my hometown of Monterey, CA. I have a passion for all things "cool, cute and quirky" and I enjoy video games, reading blogs (WeddingBee, trashy celeb, consumer & political) and crafting in my spare time, if I have any!
Get ready to log onto Target.com on May 6th for the newest temptation from Target…Isaac Mizrahi’s bridal line! (It’s available exclusively online)

Bridesmaids dresses are included, as are groom’s cummerbunds and ties, along with bridal accessories and a range of footwear. Prices start at US $9.99 for accessories and $159.99 for wedding dresses.

Yes, yes, Miss Pearl already posted about this fabric wonderland. BUT…I come bearing actual photos of the place!

Here’s a peak at my second newsletter. Sinced the first newsletter, there were so many new updates that I felt the need to make a second one. What was I thinking!?!
In this edition, I covered all the DIY projects that I was about to embark upon and requested their assistance (evil Miss Snow Pea).

I never knew there were so many events associated with a wedding. The shower and bachelorette party was a given. I thought a rehearsal dinner was an “extra.” Now I read there is a bridesmaids luncheon that I am supposed to host? Is this a common practice? I was thinking of just having a day where we go get our nails done or host a scrapbooking party. I think the girls will appreciate that more.
What are you doing?

On yesterday’s show, Martha Stewart had Karen Porter of Tilly’s Cakes on to teach everyone how to make Petit Fours with little butterflies. I have posted a couple of times about the bridesmaid tea I’m hosting the day before the wedding, and Petit Fours were one of the must have aspects. I was so excited to see these easy steps! You can find the recipe for the pound cake here and the recipe for the icing here.
I think I will do them with candied violets or make them into little wedding cakes.

Or maybe I’ll cheat and buy flowers like these from Wendy Kromer Confections. These cherry blossoms are $28.00 for a set of 24. Aren’t they so cute!
