My type-A Virgo tendencies often cause me to drive my laid-back college sweetheart fiance batty with lists and PowerPoint presentations. I love to be crafty and do things myself, which explains why my two crazy kittens often will prance around the house covered in glitter and ribbons. When I am not bogged down with work, school, or wedding planning, I like to travel to visit my expansive family and have wild adventures with my best friends. After a rollercoaster ride of a love story, I’m ready to take that final plunge, marry the love of my life, and become a Mrs.!

Iowanna Marry You: We Begin To Party

November 16th, 2012 @ 6:58 am by Mrs. Doily

Once pictures were finished and done, we all loaded up and headed over to A Touch Of Class for the reception. By the time we had arrived, the reception had been going on for about a half an hour. Both sets of our parents were already there playing hosts and hostesses until we arrived and once we were there, they sent the DJ out to go over one last second detail. Mr. D and I still had not decided what song to have everyone enter to and George from Absolute Entertainment needed that decision right then and there! We had narrowed it down to two songs, so George jumped on that and said he could do the rest. Whew, that was done.

Though as I began to relax and believe that our decisions were done and it was time to finally let loose and have fun, another was waiting to take its turn. I’m still not sure how it happened and why, but BM C (my cousin) decided she needed to go back to the hotel for something. My Uncle came out of the reception hall to inform me that he was going to go and pick her up. He wanted to know if we would wait. The hotel from the reception site would be a full 45 minute round trip, and the rest of the wedding party was waiting patiently in line to announce as guests of honors. So I made the decision to just take her out of the announcements and have the rest of the party announced. The announcements were made a little more awkward because my uncle took my cousin’s children with him, so when it was time for the announcements, we were down a flower girl, sign dude, and a bridesmaid.

I was later told that everyone was amazed by how calm I was. I wasn’t mad in the slightest, and I just kinda shrugged and said let’s keep going. It wasn’t a huge deal to me, and it definitely was not worth getting upset over. So we lined back up and got ready for our big debut!

This is one of those things that I feel that a video is better than the pictures, so without further ado:

I also wanted to include this little gem of an item to show you:
