Six years later, we're tying the knot (where else?) at WDW. We're having a Disney wedding with close friends and family, a reception in Napa for my family and another reception back here in Ohio for his family. Three wedding receptions in two months? No problem! When I'm not planning our celebrations I'm usually playing Wii or doing other craft projects, although my favorite thing to do is curl up with a huge bowl of popcorn and watch old movies.
Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward are far and above my favorite Hollywood marriage. I hope that she’ll have all of his amazing accomplishments to comfort her now that he’s passed.

I'm a PR and Marketing Director for a major jazz festival and camp by day, and by night, a romantic jazz singer and bride-to-be! I hope all my research can help other brides in their planning.
As Miss Gingerbread shared with us, same-sex couples now have the right to get married in California. I know that Mrs. Blueberry already shared the rumor that Ellen DeGeneres was getting married, but I wanted to share, if you haven’t heard already, that Ellen formally announced her engagement to long time girlfriend, Portia de Rossi. I heart pink, and believe that sparkles are the new black.
So this is old news, but WB reader JFS, pointed out the smashing white dinner jackets worn by the groom and others at socialite Lauren Davis’ wedding in January:

We are spending our last few months preparing for our big day by wrapping up all the small things, buying a house and best of all preparing to live together for the first time.
When Mr. Butterscotch and I got married, we never really had to have the talk of “so can my ex come to the wedding”. It was just a nonissue. But I always find it very interesting when a couple for whatever reason feels compelled to invite one of the ex’s.

Thanks to endless reruns of Law & Order: SVU, I have a date with Detective Olivia Benson every day of the week. I have a huge girl crush on actress Mariska Hargitay, the talented actress who plays Detective Benson. She just seems so charming, down-to-earth, and all-around adorable. Her soigne 2004 nuptials to actor Peter Hermann is my favorite celebrity wedding of all-time. Here are some photographs of the lovely day:

When I’m not obsessing about our wedding I play the cello in my band (which Mr. Radish is in too), read as much as I can, sleep even more, travel whenever possible, and try to find time to have fun with my friends. I’m also working on finishing up my journalism degree with a concentration in environmental reporting and I’m the VP of my campus Amnesty International chapter… so I’m a pretty busy bee.
The 80th annual Academy Awards ceremony Sunday night brought out all the stars and glamour on the red carpet. So, similar to the post I did about the Screen Actor’s Guild awards, here are some dresses that I thought could be great inspiration to those of you out there who are thinking of getting custom gowns.
Keisha Whitaker looked stunning, didn’t she? Forrest is one lucky guy! I don’t know who designed her gown, but I just love it and I think it would make a gorgeous wedding gown. Read more…

I have very few bad habits. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I always wear my seat belt. But I do love television! Yup that is my confession. I love all sorts of shows, but I have a real weakness for reality shows. You name it, I have probably watched it (no really just try to stump me! ).
One of my regular shows, TheReal Housewives of Orange County, spent the season following around Lauri, one of the housewives, as she prepared for her wedding.

If you caught the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night you probably noticed some stunning gowns, along with all the beautiful hair and makeup that Mrs. Butterscotch blogged about. I thought some of these dresses could provide great inspiration for anyone out there thinking of having a custom wedding gown made.
My choice for best dressed at the SAGs is definitely French starlet Marion Cotillard in this absolutely breathtaking gown from Nina Ricci. Wouldn’t it make a fabulous wedding dress in white or ivory? Or maybe even in grey for the less traditional bride. It’s so romantic and dreamy and would be flattering on many body types. I also love her hair and makeup. Very understated and natural.

So, you know that section in US Weekly entitled, “Stars, They’re Just Like Us!”? (Anyone else claim gossip rags as a guilty pleasure? No?) Well, sometimes they ARE! One of Bush twins has announced her wedding date. Jenna Bush and her fiance, Henry Hager, will be married on May 10th at the family’s Texas ranch. There will also be a lovely bridal shower at the White House this weekend. I wonder where she is registered…

I love celebrity weddings! I can’t wait to see more pictures from this one. Her dress looks absolutely gorgeous. I wonder if they will honeymoon in Bora Bora as well, or if they will jet set somewhere else. Sometimes I wonder how much celebrity weddings influence the weddings of everyday people like us. It must be nice not to have a budget and have Colin Cowie as your event planner.
