Miss Candy Corn, PhiladelphiaAge and Occupation: Senior Editor/Writer & Freelance IllustratorFiance's Age and Occupation: 24, StudentEngagement Date: September 1, 2004Wedding Date: October, 2008Blogging Since: May 6, 2008Venue: Pennsylvania Museum of Archaelogy and AnthropologyAbout Me: I enjoy people watching (especially in New Jersey malls), obsessive collecting, drooling over contemporary art, browsing flea markets for vintage finds and eating an absurd amount of cheese. In my Philadelphia abode, I create mixed media artwork and one-of-a-kind home accessories in the company of my farmer-tanned fiancé, our Westiepoo (Betty White), our three rabbits (Cadbury, Willie Nelson and Applesauce) and our two frisky chinchillas (Ethel Funk and Maude).
After much procrastinating, I wrapped up our bird table numbers project last week! One short Bridezillas marathon was all it took for me to finish up the last four birdies (a super sweet Mr. CC ordered the WE channel for me after I mentioned my not-so-secret addiction!).
Miss Spring Roll, TampaAge and Occupation: 23, Ceritifed Pharmacy TechnicianFiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Concert PhotographerEngagement Date: May 1, 2008Wedding Date: March 2009Blogging Since: September 16, 2008Venue: Beach Social HallAbout Me: I'm the stereotypical girl who enjoys sewing, baking, and decorating. I am blessed to share my life with Mr. Spring Roll and our two shih tzu's, Isabella and Gabriella. Hello Kitty, musicals, Target, and Chick-fil-a are a few of my favorite things. I have a fear of fish and Freddy Krueger. Planning our wedding has become a huge part of my life, and I love every minute of it!
According to The Knot, “In the days when roads were unpaved, wedding guests would arrive at the church and track in dirt or mud from the streets. It didn’t seem right for the bride to drag the hem of her dress in the mud, so the aisle runner was first used to protect her gown.”
We are going to have an aisle runner, not necessarily to protect my dress from mud, but because I adore them. Today, I spent a few tedious hours painting a monogram onto our aisle runner.
Below you will find a tutorial on how I made my aisle runner. Read more…

Since then, we spent 6 years in a long distance relationship. And now by the grace of God, we've made it through; we are living in the same state again (NJ) and we are gettin' married! I was originally going to ask if I could be Miss Mango bc I loveee mangos sooo much, but in the end decided to be true to my GA peach roots! woot!
Hi Weddingbee!! It’s been so long… most of you probably weren’t around when I used to write. But a long time ago, I promised that one day I’d post this up, so here it finally is!
How to Make Mrs. Peach’s Triangular Prism Aisle Decor (by Binna Yi, my lovely friend who made these for our wedding):
Miss Lemonade, Austin/San AntonioAge and Occupation: 28, BureaucratFiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Music ManagementEngagement Date: December 21, 2007Wedding Date: April, 2009Blogging Since: August 22, 2008Venue: Country Club ceremony, ballroom receptionAbout Me: I’m a total wonkette who is lucky enough to be surrounded by her favorite things on a daily basis – awesome music, the great State of Texas and of course, Mr. Lemonade! I find any excuse I can to craft something and am completely infatuated with the 1950’s, all things Kennedy, and my furbaby Vida.
One thing that has been slightly overwhelming for us in the planning has been the decor. We do not have a specific “theme” per se, and I can’t make a decision to save my life. Thus, I’ve been all over the place. Pretty much every time I see fresh wedding porn, I feel we MUST incorporate it (or some aspect of it) into our day. We’ve tried to keep it pretty traditional, while incorporating only our VERY FAVORITE creative wedding ideas (which would be almost all of them).
Early on in the planning, I came across many pictures of receptions with adorable hanging lanterns. I love the look of lanterns and how they draw the eye upwards.

My mom has always been a DIY queen, and I'm just now starting to get into it with a new house and a wedding to plan!
When I woke up last Sunday morning to beautiful weather after a rainy Saturday (thanks to Hurricane Ike), I did a few things around the house and then hunkered down for a day of wedding projects. First up was the signage for the food stations and favor table.
Mrs. Cookie, DenverAge and Occupation: 25, Nonprofit Fundraiser/Theatre DesignerFiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Financial AnalystEngagement Date: September 2007Wedding Date: September 2008Blogging Since: May 8, 2008Venue: Ten Mile StationAbout Me: With a degree in Theatre I never realized that planning a wedding was a lot like Theatre Management, until I started planning my own. I am a coffee addict, especially Starbucks' Grande Mochas, yummy! I love to cook (especially chocolate chip cookies for my honey), travel to exotic places, and be creative. As a couple, Mr. Cookie and I are extremely practical, down to earth, and children at heart. We live in a cozy abode with our adorable Pomeranian, and love to play board games and watch movies into the evening.
It’s crunch time, and here are just a few more DIY projects to squeeze in before the big day. Welcome to my hodgepodge of last-minute project mania.
First up, we have our programs!
I Goccoed the programs using the same screen I used for our invites. I was going to Gocco the whole program, but I have run out of lamps and there seems to be a lamp shortage. Read more…
Mrs. Espresso, Corona/Big BearAge and Occupation: 23, Community Services SpecialistFiance's Age and Occupation: 22, Maintenance TechnicianEngagement Date: December 21, 2007Wedding Date: October, 2008Blogging Since: June 25, 2008Venue: Outside a rustic b&b in Big Bear LakeAbout Me: I'm a lover of all things good: coffee, music, travel, rain, and of course- my handsome fiance! I'm a full believer in the "Life is Short," mantra - and therefore, eat lots of dark chocolate. I'm a Geographer by degree and nerd by choice. I cook to the sound of French and Portuguese music even though I speak neither. I love road trips, camping, hiking, and capturing life through the lens of my camera. Take me to Anthropologie and I may never leave. I'm a sucker for pretty packaging, bargain finds, and old movies. Mr. Espresso and I are high school sweethearts and I am so blessed to be this amazing man's future wife.
Well, where we last left off, Mama Espresso was out trying to find visuals of the descriptions I gave her, and I was at the house trying to calm and organize my crazy mind. I started looking through the magazine pictures I’d torn out over the past nine months and the millions of blog pictures I’d saved on my little hard drive. By the time I had made it through half of them, my mom had come back with the treasures she’d found at various stops.
Here is a look at the first round of potential centerpiece vessels:
Below we have various types of small candle holders, and even some stemless wine glasses she found on sale at Pier 1. They were cheap and the candles looked great in them.

When we first met in college we split dollar pitchers and now we share the mortgage payments. Despite our love for the city we are looking forward to tying the knot in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
In our search for some unique table numbers, I came across this wonderful idea on OnceWed. Laurie Cinotto originally created the idea for the blog, and we sort of ran with the inspiration (thanks, Laurie!).
The idea is that you put a notebook on each table so that guests can leave notes for the bride and groom. It will serve as a sort of wish bowl that we can go back and read when the day is over. Read more…
Miss Champagne, DC/Vail/ColoradoAge and Occupation: 26, Eye DoctorFiance's Age and Occupation: 27, AttorneyEngagement Date: March 13, 2006Wedding Date: February 2009Blogging Since: July 30, 2008Venue: Small church ceremony with mountain-view log cabin receptionAbout Me: I'm a small town mountain girl with a city heart. Found my way to the east coast, and Mr. Champagne kept me here so we're planning a wedding from afar in my hometown Vail, Colorado. I'm secretly obsessed with reality TV, Wii games where I can shoot a gun, country music, and Caesar: Dog Whisperer. I also spend time pretending to golf, backseat driving, having one way conversations with our MinPin Maxwell, loving champagne, and wedding perfecting… I mean, planning. I use way too many repeated symbols and letters when I write, and I'll love Mr. Champagne endlessly…
One of the most popular and classic winter wedding themes is the icy blue, white and silver snowflake theme. Although this isn’t the route that we have decided to take, there are so many beautiful touches that can be added to a wedding using this color scheme, from the invitations to the favors. My favorite below are the mittens—adorable!
Mr. Mango, Los AngelesAge and Occupation: 27, Stem Cell/Nanotechnology ResearcherFiance's Age and Occupation: 21, Political ScientistEngagement Date: June 12, 2008Wedding Date: December 2008Blogging Since: August 4, 2008Venue: Picking between 2About Me: It's not who I am underneath, but what I do, that defines me (cheesy Batman reference). I'm a Pakistani-American who lives his life as a nerdy scientist by day, and a nerdy artist by night. According to many, I'm as "metro" as they come, and that's probably why I'm so interested in all this wedding business. Honestly, I've become a bit of a "groomzilla". I'm here to prove that we, as grooms, actually can work a Gocco, plan a wedding meal, create breathtaking centerpieces, and rock a dress, just as good as my female counterparts (well maybe not the last one).
When planning for our centerpieces, Ms. Mango and I decided it would be a good idea to incorporate some modern elements. More specifically, we didn’t want “cookie cutter” centerpieces, but at the same time, we didn’t want our guests wondering whether we were abstract artists that missed the mark.
After a great amount of discussion, we decided that half of the tables at our Nikkah reception would have fresh flower arrangements, while the other half would have something… different. Ms. Mango kind of gave me some freedom to decide what we should place on the latter half of the tables. So, I began to think of the many designs that stuck out to me during our wedding planning research.
One centerpiece idea that has always sparked an interest in me was crystal trees.
