Hi!
I’m knottie EP100706 and I saw a little contest for DIY items. Here are some of mine:
Our DIY bridge that will create a straight aisle in my future in law’s backyard, still needs to be painted or stained.

Monogram cake topper.

Our table names are our favorite movies, only half way done with picking the movies.

Our save the date magnets…
& bridesmaid newsletter I created.

Mr. and Mrs. signs I did for the back of our chair at the reception.

Thanks for letting me share! Love the website.

Here are some of my DIY projects…it was extremely fun and extremely tiring…but what a way to make the wedding memorable!
Echo
Luminaries a la Martha Stewart

Kate Spade Shoes glued with Swarovski crsytals.

Hard to glue… not too even, not too messy.

My escort card: green card with pink bow for men, pink card with green bow for women, the bows are the same style as the ones on my invites (and potted candy bouquets for kids in the back).

My card box (aka cake box).

Paper flowers (papersouce).

Polaroid guest book (each pg decorated to fit the guest).

A little blurry…but it’s hand made two chain necklace with crystals and pearls for my first reception dress.

Second necklace for another reception dress.

Favor tags.

Favors completed with ribbons and tags.

Swarovski cake topper.

I first off have to tell you that I just discovered your website a couple of weeks ago and am totally addicted!!!!!
I am submitting pictures of my DIY invites. They are taking a little more time than I thought but I absolutely love the finished product. When folded up they are sealed with a sticker with our M monogram on it matching the inserts. Everything was done on our own including the printing done on our trusty HP printer. My fiance cut the round flap on all (roughly 110) of the invites, bless his heart. All components had to have the corners rounded with a simple scrapbooking corner punch. Very time consuming but oh so worth it!!!!
Next up….making my own guest book. Check out the ones done for others at the bottom of my bio:
Thanks again for your wonderful website!!!!

Thanks for all your contest ideas for our first ever giveaway! The most popular suggestion was to have readers submit their best DIY projects and ideas. I love this idea because the submissions themselves will help other brides to be!

So send us pictures and stories of your best DIY projects to stories@weddingbee.com. The deadline is July 31st. We’ll post all of the entries on weddingbee, and have our readers choose the winner of the candles and matches above from 2Pyromaineiacs!
