He’s a video game loving, quirky t-shirt wearing, movie quoting geek who stole my heart, and welcomed me into his. Together we are a happily co-habitating couple, who live in South Jersey, and are planning a wedding in Philadelphia in January 2013. We love to cook, share a bottle of wine, and watch way too much TV; we laugh all the time, don’t sleep nearly enough, and cannot wait to begin our lives as husband and wife!
So where I last left you, we had finished our Mad Men themed hotel pictures and were heading back to our room to change into our second look for the day. This was by far the best thing about having a room where we were taking pictures—no changing in public places for us, and it gave me the chance to completely revamp my look.
For the second look, I decided to wear my hair down (and I just retouched it a bit with a curling iron), put on some red lipstick (a much better choice than my first look which wore off almost instantly!) and we checked out of the hotel. Our photographer was super patient throughout all of this—checking out was a bit of a fiasco—but finally we were ready for our shoot—Part Two.

Finally!! I have e-pics to share with you. As you may recall, we were going for a Mad Men themed photo shoot for our e-pics, and I really couldn’t be happier with them. We have so many to choose from, and the two different looks really are like two totally different shoots. This one is definitely more Mad Men-esque, while the rest were more laid back, more traditional e-pics.
I was going for a Joan Halloway look—like this:

Mrs. Treasure, ChicagoAge and Occupation: 24, Law StudentFiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Equity AnalystEngagement Date: July 30, 2011Wedding Date: September 2012Venue: Saint James Chapel at Quigley Prep/Murphy AuditoriumAbout Me: I was born and raised in Indiana, but now live in sweet home Chicago. I'm a third-year law student and aspiring trial lawyer, which means Mr. T never wins an argument. Other than Mr. T, I love singing, exploring the Chicago restaurant scene, and Notre Dame football. We met in a musical (just like my parents!) and after 4 years together, we are excited to be planning our urban "destination" wedding.
Mr. Treasure and I are taking our engagement pictures this weekend. As you may remember, we met as students at Saint Mary’s College and Notre Dame. It’s very popular among alumni to get married on campus. We ultimately decided that we’d rather get married in Chicago but still wanted to commemorate the beginnings of our relationship, so we were thrilled when our photographer agreed to shoot our engagement pictures on campus in South Bend. (His girlfriend is a Domer!) As inspiration for places to shoot on campus, I turned to the weddings of our many friends who were married on campus.
Mrs. Mole, Los Angeles/Las VegasAge and Occupation: 29, Test Prep InstructorFiance's Age and Occupation: 31, User Experience ArchitectEngagement Date: April 2011Wedding Date: January 2012Venue: Wynn Las Vegas/Bouchon BistroAbout Me: I’m a Wisconsinite-turned-Angeleno who is planning a destination wedding in Las Vegas. I am passionate about education: I spent 23 (!) consecutive years in school, and now I work to help other people get into graduate programs. I love running on the treadmill, buying bath products from Lush, learning new moves in step aerobics, and exploring my neighborhood on foot. I am sometimes snobby about food, but I am rarely snobby about books. I read everything from Geoffrey Chaucer to Iris Murdoch to Chuck Klosterman to Candace Bushnell. My fiance and I are getting married on our third anniversary!
From my own incredibly biased perspective, Mr. Mole and I have some pretty awesome engagement photographs. They capture our personalities, our sense of humor, and our affection for one another. The only thing that they don’t capture is my engagement ring: Mr. Mole and I had these photographs taken a good five months before he actually popped the question!

Mr. Mole used to work for an ad agency in Milwaukee. Every year, that agency would have a holiday photo shoot for its employees. The resident photographer and other members of the creative team would set up the equipment and scenery and take the shots. Mr. Mole and I jumped at the chance to participate, especially since some of the props alluded to one of our favorite shared hobbies: cross-country skiing. We also decided to allow Tom Boonen to frolic in the “snow” as well. Here’s a sampling of some of our favorite shots.
Mrs. Balloons, Aspen, COAge and Occupation: 24, Mass Communications graduate, Web Design student, & winery workerFiance's Age and Occupation: 26, EngineerEngagement Date: July 10, 2009Wedding Date: August 2011Venue: The Sundeck at The Little NellAbout Me: I'm a small-town Midwest girl planning an intimate mountaintop destination wedding complete with a huge DIY at-home reception. As an honors graduate fallen victim to the worst job market in history in my area, we're doing everything we can to still have the wedding of our dreams on a tighter budget. I currently enjoy working at a winery, but I'm lonnng overdue for a day job! I am: a big-time daydreamer, one of the pickiest eaters you'll ever meet, and a lover of pretty paper and awesome fonts. I'm a girly girl who loves to get dolled up, but also a country girl who loves to get muddy and go 4-wheeler riding. I also enjoy singing in the car, boating, going to concerts, the History Channel, carnival food, and going to watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball with my handsome engineer.
Thanks to another lovely couple’s engagement session, I had a clear idea of what I wanted for our shoot. I wanted golden Colorado fields, a cute white sundress, and cowboy boots! It took me FOREVER to find a cute white sundress, let me tell you. Now I see them EVERYWHERE, of course! Without further ado, I present to you our Colorado engagement pictures!
Mrs. Seal, San FranciscoAge and Occupation: 25, Personal AssistantFiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Sales and Support SpecialistEngagement Date: December 12, 2009Wedding Date: November 2011Venue: Sts Peter and Paul Church/The Bently ReserveAbout Me: I am a goofy, wannabe crafty, well-intentioned Renaissance Woman (OK, perhaps "aimless wanderer" is a more aptly suited term for me, but hopefully you get the point)—basically I dabble in just about everything and pride myself in such. Without warning, I occasionally breakout into soulful improvised songs and interpretive dances and there's just no stopping me! As so many others before me, planning our wedding has unearthed a deep, intense passion for all things bridal and I secretly fear the day it will come to an end. Mr. Seal and I are quite the pair and life with him by my side is extremely rewarding—I am so thankful to have found him. Together we are planning a black-tie San Francisco affair for 250—light on the stuffiness and with lots of extra Seal-y flair.
After our 2.5-hour tour of AT&T Park, our photographer suggested a more scenic location for the next set of photos. By this time, the rain had pretty much subsided and we were hopeful that we would be able to get some nice shots with the Golden Gate Bridge at a local park.
Although there was no rain when we arrived at Crissy Field, there was absolutely zero visibility of the bridge thanks to some super-dense fog. Though the circumstances were not what we had hoped for, we definitely made the most of it—what says San Francisco more than fog and us Seals?
