After two years, he moved to my neck of the woods, and a year and a half after that, he proposed at the “place we fell in love.” I am a true perfectionist who enjoys designing and creating more work for myself, so wedding planning is my perfect outlet. Mr. Cupcake and I are both old souls, and we hope to weave that aspect of our personalities into our wedding day.
Well hello there, hive! It has been over a week now since Mr. Cupcake and I returned from our absolutely heavenly honeymoon in Antigua, and we’re still functioning on island time a little bit. Hence my delay in telling you all the wonderfully relaxing details of our journey.
You may remember that we chose the Galley Bay Resort in Antigua for our week of R&R following the wedding. Let me tell you that we made the RIGHT decision!

I'm balancing my love for the environment and my hubby-to-be's love for tradition to create our "green wedding in disguise." Our wedding will include local food and wine, antique touches and lots of love and laughter. When wedding planning isn't taking up my free time (and money) I love to read, cook, workout, watch baseball and travel! Follow along in my adventure as I attempt to plan an eco-friendly and socially responsible wedding (with eco-oblivious Mr. Pinot Noir).
We will be escaping to Hawaii the day after the wedding to spend a week relaxing and recuperating. When I posted about our trip last month you guys gave me some great suggestions. After your glowing reviews I picked up a copy of the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook from eBay. It is packed with tons of great information and suggestions! I already used it book a special adventure for Mr. PN (my wedding gift to him). Other than that, we haven’t had the time or energy to do anything other than reserve our hotel and Jeep. I’ve been reading the guidebook on the subway, but to be honest I’m pretty overwhelmed. There are so many options!! We aren’t planning to put together a specific itinerary but we do want to have a rough layout so that we get a chance to see all the best spots! Read more…

We're planning the wedding of our dreams in my hometown of Los Angeles and we're excited to incorporate our cherished Indian/Pakistani customs and traditions.
By the time our honeymoon in July rolled around, Mr. J and I were exhausted. We’d gotten through our wedding, plus a second reception. We’d also attended two out-of-state weddings and I finished moving into Mr. J’s place. We were SO ready for some rest and relaxation and luckily for us, Hawaii was just the place for that.
Here are some highlights from our vacation:

Captain Andy’s Tour:
Sailing along the Napali Coast in a beautiful catamaran was definitely one of the high points of our trip. While the water was sometimes choppy, the views were absolutely incredible. I also had the opportunity to snorkel for the first time—although I was kind of a wuss about it. They also served an incredible dinner, and we met some really fun people (and fellow honeymooners!).

I am an LDS bride attempting to plan a private religious ceremony, ring ceremony, seated reception for 100, and an open house while coordinating for guests flying in from across the United States and as far away as Poland. I try to avoid fads, excess waste, and saturated fat. I strongly endorse photography, DDR, calorie counting, rss feeds, cooking, and utilizing your resources.
I think we booked what some might consider to be the least exciting honeymoon ever. We’ve dubbed it our ‘Relaximoon’, because the focus won’t be on seeing and experiencing everything, but rather, it will be on doing nothing. I want to take a book and read the whole thing from cover to cover. I might even find a little bit of time to blog a post or two, as I have already checked to find out if wireless internet will be available.

Now that the mister has explained theplanning of our two-part honeymoon, it is time to show you the results. Despite our worries, the weather was great (no sign of hurricanes!) and Labor Day crowds were thin. I know honeymoon posts aren’t super exciting to read unless you’re interested in visiting the same places, so I’ll just overload you with pictures and include some key tips for the ’moon planners out there who may benefit from them.
Our first stop was the Grand Bahamas Island where we swam with, hugged, and kissed (on the lips!) dolphins… Read more…

OK, so if you read my last post, you know that I planned for us to take a cruise to the Bahamas… during Hurricane season. I knew there could have been problems going into it, so I did at least ask the advice of the unbiased operator at the cruise line. She assured me that if there was a hurricane, the ship could out-run the storm. While it was of some comfort that we wouldn’t be in harm’s way, the amount fun that we would have was now in question. I knew that I would never say, “Hurray for four days stuck on a ship!” Being on the ship was already the least exciting prospect of the cruise, so we needed another plan. What else is there to do in Florida?
My first thought was of the Everglades. I looked into it, and found that while they are open 365 days a year, “During the slow wet season (summer), facilities may have restricted hours or close altogether, and recreational opportunities may be at a minimum.”* There was no way that we were going there, only to possibly miss the best parts of the park.

Mr. Green Tea, here again filling in for Mrs. GT! Due to the enormous amount of energy that my beautiful bride spent planning our wedding, the task of planning our honeymoon fell solely on me. I was given free reign to plan any trip that I wanted (within our budget, of course). Some guys would have loved the opportunity to choose a honeymoon location. This groom knew better. You see, the GT’s don’t do anything half-heartedly, and I knew that this trip had to be great. What a responsibility! I kept asking her opinion on locations and all that I got in return was, “I trust you.”
So, with the weight of her trust on my shoulders, I set out to find the perfect location. My job was made a little easier once I filled in some criteria. It was a process of elimination, and my first choice was Tahiti.

We’re planning a very fun multicultural wedding (I'm Jewish and Mr. Cream Puff is Chinese), filled with as many personal details as I can muster.
I have officially been MIA for over a week, and here is why: I didn’t feel good. I think I’m doing better now though, so I have no excuse not to get off my lazy bum and write our last honeymoon post! This one’s about our excursions. We went on two.
Excursion #1 was to Tulum, where we swam in a cenote, experienced a Mayan ritual, explored Tulum, went zip-lining and swam in the Caribbean.
Here’s us inside the cenote. Basically, we descended into an underground cave filled with stagnant water and swam in it. It was a little icky, but mostly kinda cool. There were stalagmites and stalactites, which was exciting.

We've been together for four years now and can't wait to get married in sunny SoCal, Mr. Daffodil's hometown.
This was the last sunset we enjoyed in Moorea before we bid farewell to the island. The picture is another one of our favorite photos that Mr. D took during our honeymoon!
On day seven or so, Mr. D also began feeling ill. It happened to be the day we were leaving Moorea and heading back to Tahiti for another few days. The plan had been to enjoy the nightlife in downtown Papeete, to visit some of the volcanoes, and to tour some of the more historical sites in Tahiti. We thought we could do it. Read more…
