Amy Kuschel Bride is having a summer sample sale that’s going on right now!
I loved every minute of my totally indulgent visit to Amy Kuschel’s beautiful salon in downtown SF. They have stunning couture gowns that are modern, classy, and very reasonably priced. If you purchase a sample gown between the 13th & 16th of June, Amy Kuschel Bride is offering an additional 15% off of their already reduced dresses.
To complete your bridal look, all in-stock veils, wraps, and jewelry is also being offered at 10% off.
Awesome deal!
Hello Weddingbee!
I journeyed over to Union Square last week for the infamous Running of the Brides!! And thankfully, I did find a beautiful gown for a bargain price!!
But now I’m stuck with details that bridal salons would normally take care of, such as cleaning, pressing, and alterations. I have some scuff marks on the gown and some of the embroidery has come undone on the bodice. I was wondering how brides-to-be have taken care of such issues with gowns purchased @ sample sales and etc. I do not want to get it professionally cleaned b/c I think it will be quite pricey at about $200+. Would spot cleaning work?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, my name is Miss Lemon and I have been addicted to sample sales for the past ten years. It started with a simple flier posted on my college campus and a few Saturday sales, and then it grew into a weekly obsession spanning both coasts. I thought I could keep my obsession under wraps, but then they introduced online sample sales! And when it came to bridal bargains… how could I even think to stay away!
My first sample sale bargain was my dress… the holy grail of all wedding bargains. I had tried on multiple dresses last May and June in front of my friends, and found “the one” at Monique Lhuillier. Sadly, when I got the price card (which is still in my desk on right now) the grand total added up to $7000 with taxes and alterations. I pondered the situation over some gelato, where my friends promptly convinced me that dress was “the one”… but I knew that my coupon-clipping heart couldn’t stand to make that big of a splurge.
So I did what any budget savvy fashionista would do… I waited for a sale. ML happens to have 2 sample sales every year, so at best I would have two chances to snag my dress. Fast forward to mid-July, and as I gently scoured the racks and racks of dresses, I saw the sweetheart neckline and my knees fell weak. The price tag was even better… almost $5000 cheaper than full price. All it took was another quick try-on, a detailed examination of every inch of the dress (it was practically brand new!), a quick swipe of the credit card and it was mine! BWAHAHAHAHA!
Just a friendly reminder, all trunk shows, sample sales and bridal shows for the entire month are now listed under the Trunk Shows link in the righthand column.
If you know of a trunk show we don’t have listed in your neck of the woods, please email us at tips@weddingbee.com. Thanks! ![]()
