In part 1 I showed you all some of my favorite pictures before our ceremony. Here is the second part, featuring my favorites of us around the old house, burnt machinery field, and the dirt road. We had to have some pictures of us on the rope swing. Mr. Poodle has played on it ever since he can remember, so it was really cool to have pictures with it.

One of the best things about having a first look before the ceremony was that we got to take lots of pictures, have a good time, and relax before the ceremony.

We stayed with my family for three months and went on a road trip to the north of Chile all the way to Peru. We enjoyed three full months of summer (The perfect escape from the California winter). It was like a second honeymoon! Read more…

Aafter the guys and the ladies took pictures separately, we got together for some group fun. We stayed in front of the caboose just because we all loved it as our background.
We all had either boleros or jackets to warm up, but decided to pose just like that. I am actually glad we did because in the pictures you don’t notice that we were actually all kind of cold. Read more…

I know I already mentioned the fact that our wedding day was super cold and windy. Not that I want to complain—actually, I think the wind was on our side because we manage to get awesome wind shots. This post has some of my favorites!

One of the very first things I read about on Weddingbee was first looks, and I was sold right away!
We both wanted to have a fist look, mostly because we wanted to use our photographer’s time in the best possible way, and having most of our bride and groom pictures before the ceremony would give us time for all the other pictures we wanted after the ceremony. Looking back, I think it was one of the best decisions we had made. We had tons of fun, and we got to enjoy each other in such an intimate way. And at the ceremony, we were both so much more relaxed.
Even though we discussed it with Adi, our photographer, we didn’t really know what we wanted or where we wanted it to happen, so we pretty much left everything up to the photogs. Read more…

So, we left off when I showed you some lovely details, and now it’s time to really kick off our wedding day!
I started the day with my bridesmaids waking me up early in the morning. Since we all spent the night at the ranch, we took turns using the four showers. I was one of the last to shower, because everyone insisted that I should get more sleep, and I’m so glad they let me sleep in!
I started putting on my makeup. My SIL was in charge of my hair (and all of the bridesmaids’ hair, too).
Since my hair took the most work (I have SO MUCH hair and it was pretty long), SIL Kristin had the help of my dear friend Katy, and both of them curled my massive amounts of hair. Read more…

The day before our wedding started with all the guys taking all of the wedding stuff down to the ranch. We were all so excited. While the girls went to get our nails done in the morning, the guys rehearsed their dance moves and moved everything.
That morning Betty (Mr. Poodle’s Mom) was working on the last touches to finish our wedding cake. We all decided on a 3 layer cake: a bottom layer of chocolate and peanut butter, middle layer of vanilla and taspberry and the top being carrot. She did such an awesome job, just wait and see!

This past weekend I finally got my Post Wedding Chop! Since it was Mr Poodle’s graduation, and SIL came for the celebration, I asked her to give me the cut we had talked about since Easter. She is a teacher now at her cosmetology school, so I really trusted her to do this job!
