I’ve posted a couple of times in the past about the chuppah my mom and aunt made. A couple of weeks ago, Momma Puff and Puff Daddy came to visit, and they brought a whole bunch of wedding stuff with them. One of those things was the chuppah! Before we got a chance to look at it, we started discussing the ceremony decorations, and we both got a little worried that there was too much color and that the whole thing was going to end up looking like a giant circus. This is not the fault of the chuppah, mind you, but more a combination of the bridesmaid dresses, the chuppah and the lanterns.

I was nervous about getting my girlfriends these because I wasn’t sure who might have a pair of pearl earrings or a solitaire pearl pendant in their jewelry collection already. Most of my girls didn’t. I left the decision to them about wearing it the day of either of our receptions.
As another thank you to my girls for the shower and getaway they treated me to, I treated them to manis and pedis. The dress and hair/makeup were always a given that we’d provide for our party because, after all, they were doing us the honor of being a part of our wedding.

Every master must have the time to do his work. For that reason, I’ve been calmly and patiently awaiting our wedding photos from the renowned Scott Robert, as I want him to have enough time to perfect his art! But then, out of nowhere, I got blindsided! These showed up on his assistant photographer’s blog yesterday, and now I am left salivating for more!

That’s me above, getting ready in the bride’s room, right before I was headed out to see Mr. D for the first time.
My fabulouso BMs that threw me that spectacular shower took me on a suh-weet trip!!! They kept me so much in the dark that I didn’t know we were flying to L.A.!
Here we’re waiting for the rental car with all of our luggage. I am so proud of myself, it was the first time I had ever packed that light. So light, that inside my roll-away, there was actually a duffle bag. I didn’t know we were flying, so I tried my best to keep it really light, then ran home to pick up my roll-away for airline check-in purposes.

Vegas of course….

Here we are blasting off on a Friday afternoon flying Virgin America, where they set the mood with purple and red lights. The attendants were young and hip and wearing disco balls. It was a plane full of people headed for a weekend of debauchery. The best part of the landing was when they said “Welcome to Sin City… remember, we went to Cincinnati.” Hilarious!
After my delicious shower hosted by my friends Amanda and Marianne, I went directly to my bachelorette party, hosted by my supremely creative future sister-in-law, Katie. Katie rented out a hotel room in San Francisco for us and had all kinds of fun things planned.
First on the agenda? Changing my outfit. Katie gave me a bag full of stuff. The first thing I pulled out was a shirt with a picture of Mr. Cream Puff on it. It’s probably the world’s weirdest photo of him. He’s wearing a cowboy hat with a dead rattlesnake on it– some weird guy in a Dim Sum restaurant let him try it on, and he made a really weird face and made me take a picture of him. But alas, I digress.

I have been MIA for days! I suck!! I’ve been waiting to post about my shower and bachelorette parties until I collected pictures from my friends. Luckily they are all super awesome and on top of it, and I got them less than a week later! Let’s start with my shower, which was hosted by my friends Amanda and Marianne, with help from Momma Puff.
First off, the decorations. Holy cute! All my favorite bright colors in one place, punctuated by lots and lots of candy!!
