Dislikes: typos, dangling modifiers, flypaper, citronella candles, and run-ons. If I had my druthers, I'd exchange simple vows in a candlelit library. But I lost my druthers long ago...anyone seen them?

It's been exhausting but totally worth every minute of it. Ironically, I was never the type of person to want to get married but now that I'm engaged, I get giddy over anything that is wedding related! I'll try my best to give you all unique and practical ideas.
You see, Mr. Apple is a huge Lord of the Rings fan. He has the LOTR Trilogy Series on dvd. He also received this leather bound LOTR 50th Anniversary Edition book from me a few years back for Christmas. So after seeing a LOTR post awhile back from Miss Blueberry, he suggested why not have towns from LOTR as our table “numbers”.
With these unique and somewhat difficult town names, we thought it would be a better idea to include photos of fruits - for those older guests whose English isn’t so good. I even used some Asian fruits like the rambutan and lychee. I actually thought of doing different varieties of apples since I am Miss Apple! But I realized most guests wouldn’t even get it since they don’t read WB, plus apple variaties are so close in color and shape that people wouldn’t be able to distinguish between the apples. At least from the quick search I did on google.
I d-i-y’d the table names by using MS Word and printing them off my personal printer. The fruit images were downloaded from google images.

So, as most of you know, I’m going for a shabby chic “theme”. Well, easier said than done. My venue is not shabby chic. It’s art deco. It’s quite lovely, don’t get me wrong, but not quite what I’m going for. Ideally, I’d love to have a reception in a barn… but that’s not in the cards.
Mrs. Orange, New YorkAge and Occupation in 06: 29, LibrarianFiance's Age and Occupation: 25, AcademicEngagement Date: January 25, 2006Wedding Date: March 2007Venue: Nassau County, Long IslandAbout Me: Mr. Orange and I met thanks to my college friend and Mr. Orange's dad in Feb. 05. I love to eat, cook, watch Dog the Bounty Hunter, Without a Trace, L&O, and MTV Hits as well as chill with my cat Illie, work on little DIY projects for the wedding, do extensive wedding related searches on Google using my "skills." Ha-ha. We are having a 150+ ppl wedding incorporating his Jewish background and my Japanese heritage.
My grandmother made all these paper cranes and I glued each one onto a place card (Paper Source) after the calligraphy was done for names/table numbers. I could not work on this until we had all (or most of the) RSVPs back and we were ready to assign tables (i.e. two weeks before the wedding.) But, it was all worth it.

From cooking, home improvements to wedding. Mr. Snow Pea and I met in college, and since then we've been like peas and carrots! Love cooking, traveling, and fishing.
My bridesmaid’s 5 year old daughter wanted to learn about planting, so I started some seeds for her. I thought I would make it extra special when I give them to her and experimented with some ideas. All the materials were really inexpensive and with a little patience, you can have yourself some cute wedding or shower favors. Peas for “Two Peas in a Pod” or basil, which is a sign of love in Italy…

How About Orange posted a tutorial on her wonderful fabric covered thumbtacks.
These would look so lovely holding up placecards or table seating cards on a cork or fabric covered board.

Since then, we spent 6 years in a long distance relationship. And now by the grace of God, we've made it through; we are living in the same state again (NJ) and we are gettin' married! I was originally going to ask if I could be Miss Mango bc I loveee mangos sooo much, but in the end decided to be true to my GA peach roots! woot!
Look what my talented MOH put together. I’m torn between the floral Elegant Southern vs. fun Dirty South theme. Poll time! (Don’t mind the color differences, these will be changed)
Whatever design I don’t use, I’ll prob use for favor tags (will blog about this soon!):

Music is in my heart. Carpe diem.
I was randomly surfing photography blogs (one of my many hobbies), and came across this cute placecard idea on Apertura Photo’s blog. They assign who wants chicken, fish or meat in the most adorable way. It looks simple, cute, inexpensive and fun! What more can you ask for? haha.
Not quite the same (okay, not even remotely close but cute none-the-less) but I found some fish stickers at Sticker’s Galore and some chick stickers at Mrs. Grossman’s and Sandylion. I couldn’t find the exact ones pictures here. Sorry, I tried. Maybe someone else will have better luck. Let us know!
